I would hear from people who been there/ done that how long it took you ? What's realistic expectation ? How much you changed in 6m/ 1 year and what was…

Don't want to lose weight but want to lose fat?
I'm a naturally petite person, I weigh 100lb and I don't need to lose weight but I feel "skinny fat". I'm wanting to lose my tummy pooch and tone up my arms and thighs. Any tips? I am starting to exercise but I don't know where to start, or what I should be eating. I'm breastfeeding too so I can't cut calories.

Still a little to lose, but working up to maintenance mode
I decided when I hit 10lbs to my goal number, I'd start adding a little more to my calories everyday so as not to shock my system. I've lost almost 75lbs, I was around 1300-1500 calories per day, and not eating my exercise calories back while losing. I've upped my calories to between 1500 and my mfp number of 1630 (set to…

How do you know when you hit your goal?
So, I'm pretty close to my goal/maintenance. I set my goal at 125 lbs, and today after my workout and before dinner I weighed exactly 125 lbs. I took a picture of the scale!

Maintaing weight...a big failure for me!
Hi everyone! Need some help here...I used FP and lost 8kg... I looked fab during summer. Since September 1st I started working at an office- first time in my life (35y.o. worked as a teacher for many years). As a result (+working long hours+not paying any attention to what I was eating+lots of carbs) I gained all the…

Confused
So I've updated my stats to maintain my weight. It gave me about 1800 cals a week when I advised I would be working out 3 times a week for an hour each time. Should I do anything special given that those workouts are 30 minutes of cardio, 30 minutes of weight lifting? I'm thinking that perhaps the weight lifiting isn't…

Maintaining 8% body fat or less all year round - tips?
Hio. I'd been able to maintain 11% fat for a long time. I focused on bringing it down to 8% and the latest scan had me at around 8.5%, which I've been maintaining for around 6 months. I'd like to be able to keep it at ~8 all year long. Would anyone who's doing something similar successfully offer any tips? I imagine the…

Any tips would be super helpful!
Hey everyone, I live a very active life, love to exercise, pretty bad at eating (heavily under-eat) which I'm trying to sort out, but I naturally lost five kilos in the past few months just from my lifestyle. So now I've hit my ideal weight, and I'm wondering what tweaks I need to make in order to maintain. I've never done…

Which is Preferable?
For experienced maintainers, which is better: Using TDEE which takes into account overall weekly exercise to calculate daily calorie need or the MFP daily need which doesn't calculate exercise and then to "eat those back"?

Splurge day
This will be my first splurge day since being on maintenance (actually since being on MFP). Having Chinese for lunch also for the first time since starting MFP. May even have a glass of wine for Valentine's Day! Anyone else ever have an occasional 'splurge' day without feeling guilty? I know I'm going to feel a little…

Tracking Calories on a Weekly Basis
It seems like an overwhelming majority of people track macros on a daily basis, but what would be wrong with tracking macros on a weekly basis? For example, let's say I require 2,300 calories/day (times 7 days equals 16,100 calories/week). Why can I not eat light Monday through Friday (maybe 1,800 calories/day), leaving me…

I overate by 500 calories yesterday....
....... and I don't care. I think it's important to never feel guilty when you decide to go overboard once in a while. I am diligent and have maintained for over 2 years. Every once in a while I do this. I don't know why. Yesterday was a good day starting out. In the evening I went crazy eating. I should note this was a…

Confused by what my maintenance calories should be
I used this site to estimate my BMR: http://www.iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ It gave me 1315 calories for BMR and 1512 calories TDEE with activity set to sedentary. But MFP gives me a goal of 1640 calories with activity set to sedentary. I do walk most places instead of drive, and work out, but it varies from day to day so…

Estimating calories in bakery sweets?
I'm trying guess how many calories are in these brownies (pics below), and I chose an entry on the mfp database called "Google USDA - Chocolate Brownie" that says that about 100 g of brownies is 484 calories. I don't often eat away from home, especially foods that are calorie dense, so my skills in this guessing stuff are…

Maintenance and birth control
I've never been one to really think birth control caused weight gain, but I'm starting to question that. I have been in maintenance for approx. 7 months. I was maintaining EASILY. I didn't slack on my logging a bit but upped my cals a little and would have an occasional meal that I couldn't entirely accurately log without…

Banking Calories
I know this has probably been asked about a thousand times but I just wanted to share my own personal situation and hear some opinions. Firstly, over the past few years I've lost about 85lbs and I'm now trying to maintain my weight. My TDEE is apparently 1600. I've been adding 50-100 calories per week to achieve this but…

Maintenance Calories
Hi, I've recently reached goal and would like some advice on how to set my maintenance calories. I'm a mum of 3 a, 5 year old and 3 year old twins. I don't drive so do spend a lot of my day walking and pushing a double buggy for school runs etc. Before I reached goal my activity was set at sedentary. My question is if I am…

Help!
I lost 45 pounds two years ago, kept it off for a year, but I just gained 12 back and at the rate I'm eating I'm afraid I'm going to gain back all my weight. I can notice the weigh gain on my face and belly and it's really discouraging. I've lacked motivation about working out and eating healthy. Just completely fell off…

Will calorie goal change when goal weight is reached
Hi all. Just a quick question. I hit my goal weight of 66kg 3 weeks ago (WHOO HOO) and adjusted my weight loss goals to lose 0.2kg per week rather than 0.5kg per week manually. This increased my calorie goal from 1500 per day to 1700 per day which seemed to make sense. Yesterday I weighed myself and I'm now 66.1kg (still…

Will MFP adjust my calorie will Intake?
I've lost 24 lbs and reached goal gradually on 1200 daily calories (which I think was originally set by MFP). Now on maintenance, I expected my calorie need to be adjusted, but no, it's still at 1200. Will MFP suggest new daily cals or must I find it by trial and error (elderly sedentary female maintaining at 136 lbs.)?

Calories not updating with new goal
