Trying to maintain
So I don't want to lose any more weight as I'm now 8 and a half stone . I've had a total loss of 16 stone and 3 lbs in 56 weeks. I've stopped some of the exercise I was doing but am still very active to the extent that I am still loosing a pound each week the last few weeks. Whilst loosing weight I didn't get overly hungry…

my lessons - for next time in 'maintenance'
I lost 15lbs or so a while back using MFP - upping Excercise and controlling my portion size / sweet Tooth. I stopped logging, and MFP befriending but kept swimming and am a regular on a swimming group here. I have about 15lbs to lose all over again and I have been reviewing my weight history etc I have been reflecting on…

Hi guys, I currently weigh 17st 5lb (245lbs), my lean body weight comes in at 188lbs - my own calculations bring me to 3009 cals per day to maintain weight. After the Vacation - Surprising Results
I reached my maintenance goal just before I left for a 10 day vacation. (5"10 and 146 lbs). I didn't log for 10 days, ate bread and pizza and desserts. I did exercise a lot during my vacation. I didn't gain any weight! In fact I am now down another 2 lbs. I was terrified I would gain everything back - key is to stay active…

Why do most diets fail?
I have read and heard from so many people that a diet works, they lose the weight, only to put it back on and then some several months later. It seems like it is more the norm than the exception. What is the key to not putting it back on?

I started lifting and I'm FAMISHED
Makes sense? I don't want to gain weight so I hope it's normal. Anyone else have this?

hey
Have a question my maintenance calories are 2,050 calories but my bmr is 1,500, everyday I eat 2,000 calories and I burn 500 calories each workout so that would mostly put me on a deficit for example 2,000 - 500 = 1,500 net calories but since I don't want to lose any weight should I eat those 500 calories back so I could…

Feel like I'm losing my nerve. I'm still logging, still exercising, but....
I have finally gained a pound. Yeah, I know, it's one freaking pound, who cares. I still have a normal BMI, I'm still fit as the proverbial fiddle, I work out every day and love it. But, I've been eating more. I've been saying "no" less often when tasty treats show up in the breakrooms. I've been baking more. I've even had…

net calories?
When my maintenance calories are 2,000 calories but then I burn 500 calories from exercise and I put it on mfp app it says 1,500 daily net calories what does that mean?
-
please answer
I don't know if this is considered as a deficit but my bmr is 1,500 calories and for me to maintain my weight I have to eat 2,000 calories but I workout at least 5 days a week and each workout I burn 500 calories so for example on my mfp it says 2,000-500=1,500 net daily calories and then I put the complete this entry…

New to Maintaining...
Mildly terrified, switching from 'lose weight' to 'maintain' this is usually the point where things get out of hand and the scale numbers head back up. Any hints/suggestions? First change is I plan to continue being vigilant about logging - I think I have too often given myself a pass when I think I made it. I know full…

Is there really a weight that is ideal for your body?
I'm 5'2.5" and have been fluctuating between 130-135 (after losing 80 pounds). I had really wanted end up between 125-130 but it's been a slow process so I go in and out of maintenance depending on my mood! Currently I'm in weight loss mode because I had 2-3 really bad food weeks where I just felt hungry all the time and…

Does anyone else do this.... eating uneven calories at maintenance?
So I've been at maintenance for about 8 months after losing 60 pounds (by eating around 1500 cal/day) over the preceding 9 months, and I reverse dieted to figure out my maintenance level is about 2000-2200 cal/day. I've been maintaining my weight within a 5 lb range over that time. I weigh myself twice a day, every day,…

Have you ever retroactively decided you were bulking?
My plan was, starting in October, to recomp -- eating at maintenance and doing Stronglifts 5x5. Due to some bad eating choices over the holidays (okay, starting at Halloween), I seem to have gained about 7 lbs. I figure at least some of that has to be muscle, right?? So I'm pretending I meant to do that, calling it a dirty…

Don't want to lose weight but want to lose fat?
I'm a naturally petite person, I weigh 100lb and I don't need to lose weight but I feel "skinny fat". I'm wanting to lose my tummy pooch and tone up my arms and thighs. Any tips? I am starting to exercise but I don't know where to start, or what I should be eating. I'm breastfeeding too so I can't cut calories.

Still a little to lose, but working up to maintenance mode
I decided when I hit 10lbs to my goal number, I'd start adding a little more to my calories everyday so as not to shock my system. I've lost almost 75lbs, I was around 1300-1500 calories per day, and not eating my exercise calories back while losing. I've upped my calories to between 1500 and my mfp number of 1630 (set to…

So, I'm pretty close to my goal/maintenance. I set my goal at 125 lbs, and today after my workout and before dinner I weighed exactly 125 lbs. I took a picture of the scale!
