Back at my goal (again)
At just about this time last year I was at my current weight. I had a great spring and summer, but a very stressful fall in which I gained back not quite 10lbs. At the end of the Christmas break, I decided to reduce again, ta-dah it worked! Something must go differently this time as it has been crazy hard to lose a mere…

How much weight should I lose for the summer?
I'm between 110-120 lbs. I want to be able to like wear swimwear this summer I always wear a two piece never a one piece. Should I gain or lose weight to get a bikini body or maintain? I was thinking if I gain it would be through muscle right? And if I lose weight it would be through cardio? I guess. I don't know that much…

What factors determine actual caloric need?
A few months back, I worked hard to stay within my allotted calories for each day. With a serious illness in my family, my workouts have been sporadic, my steps are less as I sit around waiting rooms and driving. I am going over my daily requirements every day by 200 calories or more. I lost weight at first and am now…

Fighting the panic
I've been at maintenance for about a month. So far, I've kept in my chosen range but how do I keep from being dissatisfied that the scale is no longer moving down? Also, any way to fight that panicked feeling that occurs when you near the upper limits of your weight range?

Over recent weeks I've been upping my calories to try and maintain. I put on 2 lbs last week and I wasn't even close to what the calories should be. Today I've consumed the most I have in a long time and dominoes pizza for the first time in over a year. You know what I blooming enjoyed every last bit and I don't even care…

Goal Weight Reached
I've just reached my goal weight of 125 lbs., a far cry from 198 lbs! I lost the first 53 over a period of 4 years and the last 20 over 10 weeks, during which time I went on a cruise. I watched what I ate. Now I need to maintain. That's the tough part. I don't know how many calories to take in. Do you have any tips?

Reintroducing Carbs
Hello! I have been on a low carb diet (under 20g) for 5 months now and I'm currently 10lbs from goal weight. When I only have 5lbs remaining, I am going to begin to slowly reintroduce healthy, low GI carbs back into my diet. I will adjust carefully and eventually find a good maintenance level. Any advice?

My weight chart over the last 4 years
is pathetic. I don't know how to do maintenance. To me, losing weight is intuitive. There's restriction, rules to follow, exercise a whole bunch and so on. Only when it comes to maintenance, I haven't got a clue. I need a lot of help with that. How does one do maintenance? I'm approaching that particular time now. I'm 158…

Experience with initial gain after going to maintenance
Hi everyone, Last week, on bed rest from exercise and recovering from gastric, I ended up breaking my diet and eating more, 1200-1600 depending on my stomach. Now I'm ten pounds heavier and just devastated...it's only been a week! Has this happened to any of you beforehand? Does it go away? I feel uncomfortably heavy and…

Success in varying calories
I have posted a few times about how I have put on 3-5 lbs since November that I cannot get rid of, and I've tried several things and can't lose it and keep it off. I was easily maintaining 132 pounds on the dot, not exercising, and eating plenty. I was still religiously logging my food, and I have peeked back and saw I was…

Help with Women's pants brand for Pear shape (bigger thighs)
Can anyone recommend a pants/jeans brand for someone with a 10+ inch difference between waist and hips with thicker thighs? water weight fluctuation
I have noticed since I have gone from taking off weight to maintaining weight, i have had a higher level of water weight fluctuations. I.E. more ups and down, and a greater range of ups and downs. I am just wondering if this is usual and other people have noticed it, or if it just something dietary, or another specific…

Puzzled by lower calories after deficit
When I was losing weight 4 years ago, I was set for a pound a week and at my lowest was at 1230 calories (net). I've maintained, but drifted up four pounds over winter and want to drop back into my range. I reset to losing a pound a week and it has me at 1200. But that's more than the 500 calorie a day deficit it used to…

average measurements
I've hit my goal range, and am happy with my weight and the way I look for the most part. The only problem I've encountered is insecurity with the size of my butt. Who else just walks as exercise?
I use the Pacer app (can't afford a Fitbit just yet!) to track steps and if I run, so I get in 20k steps a day from usual activity or runs/walks, setting my activity level as sedentary and using negative calorie adjustment. I would just like to know if anyone else in maintenance just walks and eats back all their calories…

I'm sooooo hungry
I hit my goal last October, I lost around 50 pounds in just under a year. At Christmas I put on 5lbs and since then I've been trying to lose them again. I feel so much hungrier than I did before, and I'm not sure why. I try to eat lots of protein, and a reasonable amount of fat. I've been getting that lightheaded low blood…

Getting adequate calories...
I've reached my weight goal (lost 20 pounds, woo! Thank you, exercise). When I was losing weight, I was also cutting back on calorie intake. I was probably having about 1,300-1,400 a day, and I felt fine with what I was eating. Now that I want to maintain my weight, I need to eat more, about 1,800-1,900 I think I…

Stopping binge eating
I have been crippled with binge eating and other eating disorders since I was 13. I'm 24 and have spent almost half of my life dieting, hating my body and being miserable.
