Does anyone else's calculated TDEE increase over time?
I lost 80 pounds over 6 months by eating at 1200. Now, I increased my calorie intake and I'm still losing. From February to March I lost 3.18 pounds (values from trendline). This calculated to a -464 calorie deficit on average. Using my average calorie count, 1404, I found out that my TDEE should be around 1868. I do an…

Want to Calculate Maintenance Calories
Hello! I'm attempting to figure out an empirical formula for calculating my "assumed weekly maintenance calories" for making my hopefully soon switch from deficit to maintenance. If I assume that: I ate 11237 calories total last week (Calories eaten = Ce) I burned 1590 calories last week during exercise (Calories burned =…

How to calculate maintenance calories?
I am within five pounds or so of my personal goal weight. Hurrah! I am happy with what and how much I am eating right now. I don't feel deprived, hungry, etc. Both the Scooby TDEE calculator and the IIFYM calculator indicate maintenance would be roughly 100 - 200 more calories per day than I eat right now. I just don't…

Lifting only
I'm trying to reduce my body fat percentage so I'm currently focusing on lifting. Loving it! Should I feel guilty that I stopped doing cardio? I feel like I'm doing something wrong and I'll ultimately end up gaining back my weight. I KNOW that As long as I'm eating the right amount of calories I should be ok. Please advise!

Lightly active/eat exercise cals?
I walk 7 miles five or six days a week. Not casual walking but fast so it's a workout. I've put my setting on lightly active. Are exercise cals included in the calorie goal or do I eat some of my workout cals back? Thank you

4 month Stall. Is this normal.
I Am 4 months out of my sleeve surgery. I had great momentum and had lost 50 lbs the first 3 months. I seem to have haunted my weight loss completely and don't understand why. For the last 3 weeks I have not lost anything!!! I haven't changed my eating habits and made it a point to increase my activity, still nothing. Can…

Trying to maintain...
I saw a release of weight on the scale; did not expect it. I'll take it! However, this "release" is just as "suspicious" as a "increase". I weigh everyday, I'll get courageous and weigh in 3X a week. This comment only plants the seed (weighing in 3XWK)

Hard to know when to stop losing!
I've lost 85 lbs and hit my goal weight. I'm 5'2.5" and 127 lbs. Because I've lost so much weight, I think my perception is still pretty off and I often still see a fat person. I also know that there's a wide variation of "normal" or "healthy" weights for my height. My goal weight was mostly just a random number I picked.…

Came from Weight Watchers
So I've been doing MFP for about 4 months now and I just love it. The app and website are way better. I'm not stuck in the "points recipe universe" anymore. I can go to sites that just have recipes with calories and not worry about the conversion. The biggest thing....eating with friends and going out for food is just a…

It took me 3 months to go from around 75kg or 76kg to 65kg. My BMI was around 28 or very close to 29, which is dangerously close to the obese category. My BMI is now 24.5 and I want to get it down to 21 or so. I just want to say I love, love, love MFP. I love the discussion forums. I love how easy it is to use the recipe…

Going lean (body recomp)
Hi all, I've reached my goalweight and am kinda skinnyfat. I have more muscle than I was expecting, but I'm still a bit flabby for my tastes. I only had to lose like 12lbs so I don't have loose skin, and I go to the gym 4-5x per week. I do modeling in the summers, and am looking to up my game. I'm a student, and I need…

I actively burn 350-500 calories 6x a week, on average, between cardio and lifting. Can anyone with similar statistics tell me…

Could use some help with my recomp
Hi Folks! This all started with a desire to lose weight in time for our cruise in April. Started losing when I started maintaining.
odd, me thinks. I stop logging and caring so much how many calories is in a days eating, not excersizing as much as I was and voila - started losing weight again. Logged the last few days and I am eating more than I was on a deficit, but I am eating more raw, fermented, and sourdoughs, and getting extra minerals - feeling…

Grieving Giving Up Overeating
So, since the beginning of January, I've lost twelve pounds or so. I probably have another ten to fifteen to lose, but I'm taking a break for a bit and maintaining where I'm at for a while. Ideal weight range for 60+
