Newb
I wasn't expecting what I got when I stood on the scales today. I'm not happy. Aiming for a fit fiftieth birthday in just under a year. Going to have to get used to being hungry as I am ridiculously addicted to food. New start. No junk. Goodbye cheese. Time to get this under control. Diana

Hi, not exactly a newbie but a lapsed counter lol. But, I'm back to it! Turning 60, keeping healthy and shedding some of the menopause gain is my goal. Still an avid gym goer, but now lifting and resistance training alongside cardio. No running for me now, but trying to do everything else instead.

Hi all, I’m new to community discussion boards. I’m trying to stay motivated. I’ve used my fitness pal to stay slim but now I’m focused on building muscle particularly, leg and glutes. Can you eat healthy on a limited income with type 2 diabetes?
I have type 2 diabetes and have been trying to eat better; trying to follow the advice of my doctor, but healthy food is so expensive, I cannot afford to eat this way? Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, do you have any suggestions that would help a dumb dumb like me?

Yup, I'm back. I first joined mfp many-many years ago. I'm now 73 years old and I've weighed a hundred pounds or more too much for years. Unfortunately, for the last several years I've been living in limbo. Hubby had a stoke followed by lots of stuff that meant I was his caretaker and my role was, I thought, externally…
