My First Breakthrough
I started out this process really well in losing about 2 to 2.5 lbs a week (for the first 3-4 weeks), but I had been about the same weight (maybe even a bit higher) for about 2 weeks now. I was breaking it down to 'I've started lifting weights, that must be just me building muscle', but really on the inside I was already…

Before and after, 75 days on keto
As the title suggests, I started a keto diet 75 days ago. I started at around 165lbs (5ft 6) and a size 8/10. I'm not sure how much exactly I have lost ( I don't own a scale, I'm too crazy :D ) but I now can comfortably fit in a size 4. More importantly I have tons of energy for my two little ones, I feel great and I'm…

When "bad news" is actually GOOD News...
Got on the scale this morning (having avoided doing so of late) and I'm UP almost 7lbs (and it isn't "water weight"). I know it's not water weight because I've been doing more snacking for the past couple of weeks as well as not logging diligently. I've also not been drinking the amounts of water I've gotten accustomed to…

100 lbs milestone
This is my first time posting, but I just wanted to share my milestone! As of this morning, I'm down 101.6 lbs, passing my 100 lbs milestone. I still have another 70 lbs to go (I started at 299 lbs) but I'm really proud of myself for hitting this point of my weight loss journey.

Lost half my thyroid, anyone eles?
I've have used my fitness pal before and I lost almost 30 pounds. However once I got comfortable I stopped. I started having headaches 24/7 which then I stopped walking, eating properly. Fast forward I put that 30 plus more right back on. I was a size 12 then and now I'm almost a size 20 and 225.00 pounds. I thought I had…

100 lbs down and counting
Today I hit 100 lbs down! I started out my heaviest at 245 lbs. It’s taken me many do overs to get to this point but I am at 145 lbs! Talk about a moment I will remember forever. The feeling of stepping on the scale and seeing 145 come up. A number that I have never weighed in my adult life. I am amazed daily at how…

Anyone successfully lose weight 70-80 yrs old?
Hopefully it's not offensive to use the word elderly, but I have a friend who is somewhere in the 70-80 range and he insists that gaining weight as you get older is inevitable and that anyone older is destined to be fat. I know this to be untrue but I would love to have some success stories to share with him. I realize…

C25K week 5 day 3!!
Today I completed week 5 day 3 on Couch to 5k! I've known this day was coming and I truly didn't think that I would be able to run the whole 20 minutes. Definitely being 38 pounds lighter helped, but still being in the 220's, this seemed out of my reach. I'm so excited!

Going to shoot for 30lbs, I'm 58, would love to hear from others my age
I've let things get away and put on 20lbs. But today while thinking about where I'd be at 20 lbs I had one of those 'let's get honest' moments and realized that I'd be healthier with a 25-30lb loss. I'm 158 and 58 yrs old. I've gotten down to 138 (so 20lbs feels doable) but i haven't been 133 since I was 22. Am I being…

Took 10.5 months to lose 22.2 lbs, just 39 days to lose another 15.8 lbs
I began this year at 227.2 lbs and worked steadily to lose weight. I joined Zwift and have been biking on a trainer and now running on a treadmill every day. If you don't know about Zwift ask me. I'd be happy to tell you about it. I got down to 220 and hit a wall, busted through and got to 215 and hit a wall, busted…

Clean eating > Calories
 I still have much work to do (especially considering maintenance takes a lifetime) so I don't call myself a success story. However, I've reached the first weight loss goal I've ever set for myself, so I suppose this is the best place to share my experience. I'm not looking for applause or anything like that.…

I hope my story inspires others.
I wish I could say the process and lifestyle change was easy. It wasn't. In 2005-06 I walked into a gym with my cousin who encouraged me to make the trip and hopped on the scale at 352lbs. I damn near had a heart attack. He showed me the ropes and I became obsessed with weight lifting. I dropped all the way down to 250lbs…
