I've lost 112 pounds.
I used to be 300 pounds now I'm down to 188. I've been working on weight loss for about 4 years now but I only started really focusing on tracking calories and being very dedicated in the gym for 2 years now. I feel like a entirely different person.

60 lbs down, first goal done
When I first started losing weight I figured that 180 lbs would be a good number to aim for. I weighed 240 lbs and was fed up with it when I began to have health issues for the first time in my life due to my weight. My father is obese and I see how much of a struggle it is for him to do certain tasks. I never wanted to be…

It might be "woo"...but...
I'm an emotional eater, and going through perimenopause, fun combo. I have done all the mental tricks to distract, evaluate and make different choices, none too successful. I just got some lavender oil to treat a scar on my arm. Lavender also has a calming effect and omg it DID chill me right out! I was craving alcohol and…

Losing weight - sagging skin!
I know the inevitable with losing a large amount of weight is sagging skin, but I have seen people who have lost large amounts and have much less than others. This probably has a lot to do with genes and where weight is allocated also, but does anyone have advice on keeping the excess skin at bay as much as possible? I'm…

One Month of Hiit results!
I started Full Fitness Hiit October 19. The instructor weighed and measured us the second class. Today, a month later, she weighed and measured us again. I am down 12.4 pounds and have lost 4 inches off my waist and an inch off both thighs. I lost off my bust and hips too, but I was so blown away by the waist measurement,…

My journey
Weight is such a sensitive subject for me because it's been something I have dealt with all my life. I have experienced all there is to experience on the negative side of obesity. It was especially hard since in my family am the only big one, my mum sister and brother are all relatively smaller. I got alot of bullying from…

1st big goal reached. 50 pounds lost, but shadowed by hamstring injury. Need ideas!
Well, I lost my first 50 pounds as of this morning! However, my tears of "joy" were probably from the pain I've been feeling all night and morning from straining my hamstring yesterday. Since I'm off the exercise bandwagon for a while, does anyone have any tips to keep my weight loss on track this week and the next? This…

Success stories - Man Boobs Edition?
This is a pretty embarrassing topic. I'd say the biggest reason I hate being fat is having man boobs. I once got down to 188 (I'm 6'2", so that's considered normal BMI) and it didn't make a dent in them. Infact, it made them stick out more because everything else was slimmer. Regretfully, I gave up and ended back up at 256…

Finally done it!!!

Success with CICO
Have you had success with CICO (Calories in, calories out) approach? Has it also helped you eat a balanced diet of what you enjoy- with no food off limits as long as it fits in your calories?

Major NSV just when I needed It
I have been a yoyo dieter for most of my adult life. In August of this year I had some health issues and spent some time in the hospital. That time in the hospital scared me enough to once again take my health into my own hands, only this time I am looking at it as a lifestyle change not a diet. The first change I made was…

10 years difference
This picture on the left just popped up on my facebook timeline today and it was 10 years ago. I thought it was interesting to see the difference between then and now. I weighed probably somewhere in the 240+ish in this picture and was trending eventually to my max of 285lbs. I think in hindsight it really shows in my face…

100lbs lost
I’ve started my journey over and over many times. I’ve failed and I’ve succeeded but in the end I had to figure out something simple...just be healthy. I don’t think there is a special diet that works for everyone and I don’t think clean eating and 5 mike runs are the way to being fit for everyone either. For me it was an…

200 days, 48lbs down and 48lbs to go
So, I'm not quite there yet but I'm feeling pretty good about my progress. For the first time I feel my relationship with food has improved and I'm not only losing weight but I'm getting stronger too. A little cardio, lots of heavy weights, activity every day, no more dieting.
