Then & Now - March to November
We just returned from a wonderful weekend of skiing. When I was uploading the pictures from the camera to my computer I came across a photo of us on the same slopes at Copper Mountain last March. I am now about 50 lbs lighter than I was then. So I decided to put them together and share with you. As you can tell, my wife…

I was getting ready to exercise so forgive the wardrobe  Today was my omg moment, I finally relized that there is a…

Another Couch to 5K Graduate!
I finished the Couch to 5K program about three weeks ago, since then I've been running 5K 3 times a week through all kinds of weather. However, 12 Weeks of training did not prepare me for this. The 5K this morning was at a local lake. I figured the course would just be on the road around the lake, uh uh. It was in the…

My First 5K!
Thanks to C25K, I ran my first 5K this afternoon! I ran it in 34:16! I even walked a few times (no more than 30 seconds each walk).. and it was freezing outside. But I finished with a great time!

Two exciting things!
For one, I weighed in at 179 pounds this morning, FINALLY breaking a 6 week plateau and putting me into a whole new "decade" of weight. Hello 170's! I also had on odd milestone yesterday. I had my wedding ring accidentally fly off my finger for the first time. I washed and partially dried my hands, then as I was throwing…

Wow!
I weighed myself this morning. I had two goals when originally set up this weight loss mission: to get under 210, and then to get under 200. I completed the first goal about a month or so ago... and when I stepped on the scale this morning... I was 199.5. I did it! I could not even believe it! I haven't been under 200…

PCOS Success
I've been a lurker (I'm shy even on the internet :blushing: ) but this site has been a godsend and I hope my pictures and story will inspire the way all of yours has inspired me. In 2007 I went from 110 lbs to 138 lbs in less than two months. I found out I had PCOS. The quick weight gain is caused by insulin resistance. I…

COMPLETE
Just had to post - today I finally reached 126lb (9 stone). This has been my goal weight since the beginning and it feels amazing - just over a year ago, I thought that weight loss was this magic, impossible thing that I could never achieve - but it IS possible! I'm aiming to maintain my weight over the Christmas holidays,…

Next Goal Reached!!!
I am finally in my coveted size of 10 in denim, & 8 for black pants & slacks!!! Officially HALF my previous size of 20-22! Originally, the idea of 8's in denim was appealing, yet, I am pleased with being the lowest 2-digit size, and still having a cute curvy shape :) I bought a pair of jeans yesterday & wore them to work…

little victory
There is a HUGE basket of mini candybars in my office. I had one yesterday and counted the calories, and today I did not have any. Yay me!

Pants
When I started here, my biggest pair of pants were getting too tight on me and I couldn't afford new clothes. It was a size 14. For the past few months I've been wearing these cargo pants. It's a size 10. It also has a drawstring so while it was getting bigger, I didn't quite realize how much I was really taking it in.…

Small success... but a long journey
Okay so I just have to say it! I am (FINALLY) back down to my prepregnancy weight! My daughter turned 1 on Nov. 20, and today I stepped on the scale and saw that I was back down to my weight before I got pregnant with her. Yea! So it's not that big of a victory... it took a year, and I'm still way overweight (and…

First time in IDK how long!
Today I stayed right in the range of what MFP recommends I consume daily! And I entered EVERYTHING I ate! YAY FOR ME! It's been a while since I have achieved this so I though it was post-worthy.

I buttoned up my shirt today!!!!
This may seem like a small success but my sister gave me a bunch of hand-me-down, button-up shirts for work. She outgrew them when she had her baby and thought I might fit them better. Unfortunately, I couldn't even get any of them to button over 'the girls'. Well today I put one up and... it buttoned all the way to the…

A surprising part of my engagement
So first, the best news--I got engaged yesterday! That in itself is really exciting, but on top of that, I had an unexpected surprise. I helped my fiancee pick out the ring long ago. I never really got to try it on becuase the one at the jeweler was too small. So my fiancee bought it knowing we'd have to resize it after he…

Pillow Talk
I'm almost to my first goal of 10% of my body weight lost. I have enough to lose in total that 24 lbs. lost doesn't seem to show outwardly very much and I get kind of discouraged about that sometimes. The other night as my husband and I were cuddling before falling asleep, I asked him to answer a question honestly. I asked…

Whohoo!
I posted the other day about looking for a deal on polar HRM's. I went to a sale at Running Fit today, not even thinking about it until I got there. I ended up getting a Polar F4, the women's one in which the watch is smaller and slimmer and a pretty ice blue color, for only $80.00! The cheapest I had seen it on amazon was…

I WON $10.000.00
I am dealing with so many emotions right now! When I found out that the votes were in and I was the the selected $10,000.00 winner I nearly passed out. I had already won $1000.00 dollars in September for submitting my success story which then made me eligible to compete for the $10,000.00 win. I just want to say thanks to…
