Take that, gym! I showed YOU who was boss!
I HATE working out. As a grown woman, I've cried and had emotional breakdowns in gyms. Good times. Well, I haven't seen the scale move yet, but I've been working out since November and am almost to the point where working out feels good and not sucky. I can tell I've got more stamina. Here's the cool part: Thursday night…

One Meal at a Time
I have a weakness for loaded potatoes, it's no secret really. Today at work, for the taking, were baked potatoes and bowls of cheese, bacon, green onion, butter, sour cream, ranch dressing....everything (plus) that I would eat on a normal day for lunch, and it was free (I usually pay $4.50)!!! I wanted it so bad...so so…

The motivation jeans.
Well....I did it. I dusted off my favorite jeans that have been stored away waiting for some small miracle to happen so I can once again wear them. They are my absolute favorite jeans. My goal is to fit into them. Today, I squeezed into my "skinny" jeans. Mind you though, I said squeezed. Defying volume and capacity…

I cooked! For me this is an accomplishment:)
I am so proud of myself... I have made dinner and my next day's lunch with the extra 3 nights in a row! For some this may not be such a big deal, but for me it is definitely a big deal. I rarely cook and I always buy lunch or just grab a latte and donut. I feel so good this week, I am eating better and saving $$$. For any…

The first one to the left I weighed about 209 lbs while the one to the right I weigh 153. I'm just wondering if you guys can see a difference…

I have lost 4 pounds of it back and I know that I can do this and I will do this. I have posted my story many times but I thought I…

Lower heart rate
Today was my second day at the gym. Yesterday my heart rate was super super high, between 170-180, today it was at 155-161  The chart on the machine has rates for ages 20 the 30, I'm 28, so I'm just trying to get it to be between the two. I did try out the sauna today. At first I didn't think I could stay in there,…

My first day of exercise

Finally!
I finally received my CPR and life saving certificate from the State of MA. Took em long enough. Now I can finally sit for my personal training exam! ACE won't let you sit for the test without having a CPR certificate and a AED certificate (Automated Electronic Defibrillator). Geez, I've been waiting over a month for this…

1 year and going
Well, I've been on MFP for one year now. I've lost 93 lbs so far but I've gained so much more: confidence; appreciation for me and my ability to succeed; releasing old baggage; gaining knowledge, understanding of myself, a new set of friends who have been so very important to my success. I'm amazed at the person I'm…

Sugar Drug
So I have been ready more about sugar and the effects it has on the body. There is no nutritional value in it . . . in fact it causes a "high", so to speak, before causing the body to defuction and crash. This is not unlike a drug. Not to mention that it is extreemly addicting. I decided, after being inspired by a friend,…

cleaned out the cupboards
I just cleaned out all my cookies/snacky stuff from the holidays. I didn't throw much away since I know everyone at work will eat it for me (and they'll enjoy the extra treats on a Monday). I just feel better knowing that it's either packaged up to bring to work, or thrown into the freezer where I'm good at forgetting…

Before and After Pictures!
Hi! Im not quite to my "after: phase yet. But, I know, for me and others, it's motivating to see the success of everyone else. I'd love to start a post where everyone (who feels comfortable) can post before and after pics and maybe one or two of there best weight-loss tips! I think that will not only help and motivate some…

Hit My Goal!!!
I finally did it...with the help of MFP. I hit my goal weight of 122. I had a Dr. appt. yesterday and he actually told me that I needed to GAIN weight! For someone who has struggled with weight my entire life, those were words I NEVER thought I would hear. I don't plan to take his advice, but it was certainly nice to hear…

One year ago today I joined the gym, since then, I have lost
96 pounds, and over 70 inches ! ( I say over, cause it was 68 inches from the body parts that I measure, there are plenty of spots I dont measure!) I think that was a very successful year! I hope everyone who is starting this new year with goals to lose weight and be healthy have all the success that I have had! Tami

LIttle success...or at least for me.
I was soo excited , last year for christmas i got some pj's from my sister for christmas. I absolutely love them they are sooo comfy. They are 3x and pans are getting a little too big. I told her i wanted some more of those jammies this year, but in a smaller size (2x) , i got them yesterday and i figured they may be a…

How exercised made a difference to YOU?!?
 I'm just starting to exercise this week. I grew up in a family of athletes and I was that out-cast. I loved running around in the fresh air, but I wasn't fast, fell over a lot, and just never had the strength of my sisters. One entire summer was dedicated to teaching me to cartwheel - I knew if I tried hard enough…

Milestone!!!
Well, I have hit a milestone. I have lost 30 lbs! YAY!!! Only 12 more lbs. to go til my goal weight!!! Although, I would be happy with this weight if I stopped losing here, so I am excited!!! I figured after the 3 days of holiday eating, I would have gained a lb. or 2. LOL. I also got the Wii fit plus for Christmas and I…

Yeah!
The scales are starting to move on the downward slopes again. I am so happy. It is only a puond or two at a time but that is better than nothing at all. I start a fitness class the fourth of January so maybe that will help. I am so excited. Good luck to everyone else and congrats on your progress so far!
