Weird Correlation
Sooooo, after working out yesterday I still had about 1200 calories for the day. Since my friend and I had been craving pizza for DAYS we decided to order a medium thin crust veggie...I ended up eating 8 pieces with lemon bars, and later that night those new Savorings - spinach/artichoke bread bowls. Well, needless to say…

48 lbs GONE! Man I feel good
It took longer than planned, but hopefully the slow process will be a permanent result. I thought this point would never happen, but I'm so close to my goal, it's unbelievable. I posted a pic of me tonight b/c I went through my closet for a THIRD time to get rid of stuff that no longer fits. I put on a shirt that I haven't…

Son Reached Goal!
Just had to "toot" my son's horn...He found and started using this website in June and this week reached his goal, having lost 43 lbs. He is an athlete and has a larger frame, so dropping this weight has made a huge difference. When he started he weighed 225 lbs. He is 12 years old (going to be 13 in January) a 7th grader,…

10lbs off and more Muscle on! (and an Arby's tale)
I don't care if anyone feeds into my need to put this in writing, but I have lost 10 lbs since November 6th (effectively a month) and I have so much more muscle than before. My arms, my shoulders, my abs, they're all just new and awesome and I am moving at a fine and steady pace to my goal weight... currently 190 but more…

It's the little things that count.
I have no scale, and rely on a measuring tape to track all my progress, but I have noticed this week that, since the end of october, my cheekbones have been gradually emerging. (My dad says he's noticed it too from our occasional vidchats) It never occurred to me that losing weight might mean actually having facial…

Mini success
But, I thought it was worth mentioning because it made me really happy. :flowerforyou: For a little over a month now I have been going back and forth between 238, 239, 240. I didn't even adjust my ticker on here because I was so angry with myself. I *finally* made it to 237, but was stuck for a bit. Then, I took the time…

.50 lb Gone
Finally after coming home from Albuquerque and not being able to excercise or eat right due to my treadmill not working and my mom in the hospital for over 3 weeks I am on the right track of losing again. I just got my treadmill fixed Monday as well as got back to eating right and today my scale showed it!

I'm back babay!
So I got married two months ago! Woohoo! The week before the wedding and the 3 weeks following - I didn't go to the gym at all. I didn't run, I didn't lift, I didn't watch what I ate. I was just relaxing and being lazy with my new bride!! When I returned to the gym after 4 weeks of carnal-transfat-living I found, to my…

Yes! I skipped the cookies!!
Just had to share... with people who could understand. Tonight at our PTA meeting, there was a cookie tray with lots of holiday treats - cookies, brownies, muffins. Lots of yummy stuff. I had my daughter with me, so I got a few things for her. But I had already eaten dinner and a small dessert at home. My daughter…

No pounds shed YET, but personal goal accomplished!
This may not be a big accomplishment to anyone else but.. I've always been a treadmill person, I never wanted to try the stair master or the bike, and forget the elliptical! But today for the first time I did my second day of 30 minute cardio *gasps* ON THE ELLIPTICAL! the past couple days have taught me that you…

My first 10km race
I ran my first 10km race over the weekend and looked up the results online and I came 6th overall in my age group of 20-29 year old females! My official time was 49:48. I'm thrilled with my time. I have ran 2 half marathons this fall but never a 10km race and I was freaking out the day before wondering if I could beat my…

Hi everyone! I ran my first 5k on Thanksgiving Day coming in at 32:23. I would like to have finished in 31 min or less but I will definitely not complain. I am so excited I found this website. It motivates me so much more. After having a baby in February, I was the heaviest I had ever been in my life! I lost most of my…

I too was skeptical, but...
I have been on this site for, well, a long time. And the weight always stayed within the same 2 to 3 lb range. Then I joined the Sixers challenge and decided to reevaluate what I was doing. Read through a lot of posts. Then joined the no-late night snackers and again readjusted my intake. But decided to do something that…

23 lbs in a little over 3 months!!!
I don't know how I continue to do so good but since September 17th, 2009 I have lost 23 lbs. I am so happy with how I like. I am still going to keep at it and try for my goal weight of 130 but at this point I think anywhere before 130 and 140 will make me soooo happy. All my friends and family have been telling me how…

80? I have I really passed 80?

I exercised!
I know this probably sounds silly to all you who've been doing this awhile, but I just "started again" and made myself exercise tonight. I worked out for over an hour! It's been over a year since I last exercised, so needless to say I'm pretty proud of myself. Now I just have to keep it up.

I'm More Motivated Now
I recently got this calorie and fitness tracker and watch that tell me how many calories I am burning with each activity and if I've reached my goal or not. I love it! I find myself pushing harder on workouts now, and I even use it when I'm cleaning the house to see how I can burn as many calories as possible. It's really…

Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own ey
At my monthly doctor appointment I got on the scale and the nurse started sliding down the weight. 187, 186, 185, 184, 183, 182 and it finally balanced at 181.5! That was a drop of 5.5 lbs from October 30th! Unbelievable! I was worried that Thanksgiving would have been disaster but no! I'm still on track to reach my goal…
