Time for a new Goal
When I joined MFP I had been on every diet under the sun, and always thought I knew my "Set-Point." Setting my original goal 5 lbs under that point seemed unattainable. Thanks to the tools here, and all of your support, advice, recipes,etc... I can set a new goal - one I would have never thought possible before. So thanks…

You can do what you set your mind to do....
I've been doing the Couch to 5k program.... back in February my husband and I went to the local college track and walked - we walked 6 laps (1.5 miles) - I thought I was dying - blamed it on the cold weather....I gradually worked my way up and started jogging 1/4 lap - WHEW that was tough....end of March or early april I…

It's minor, but it's a big deal Eating the ExerCals!
....I'm starting to comfortably eat more of my exercise calories. I was trying to avoid it and then thought, "what the heck". I'm trying to make this a lifelong change. And I KNOW I'll never due it if I keep treating it like a diet and eat so little every day. I'm 5'10" for the love of pete! And as my doctor said ,"you're…

The Elliptical
Back at the beginning of April, I was afraid to use the elliptical. It looked like it kicked butt and I was afraid that I would look like a fool if I lost control of it. I tried it out when we were on vacation in the hotel gym. Only my husband and I were there and if I ended up hurting myself, I would never see those…

The Weight Loss Ticker
I just looked at my ticker and realized that my little frog is no longer standing in the rain. What does that mean to me? - My clothes are looser - I'm wearing makeup again (because God knows I didn't put any effort unless I absolutely had too) - I sang Karaoke at my friend's Birthday party, usually I sit and just cheer…

That has been my first overall target and I finally hit it today. I know I have a lot more than that to lose, but for me this is a big deal. I've been at this for 4 months and…
