My favorite kind of ice cream is when the soft serve machine doesn't mix very well and the chocolate has the dark specs in it...weird i know. Well my friend knows i love it and works at a ice cream shop. She called me today to tell me it was like that and i didn't go. small victory but i'm happy about it, especially after…

I have lost 18 pounds and am on a plateau, but yesterday I attended a Family gathering to honor a graduate. I wore an outfit that has hung in my closet for two years! and it was a bit loose! I got so many compliments on how good I look, it really made me feel better about the plateau, and things are tightening up without…

I am so completely humbled by what I saw today!
As I am between gyms at the moment, I have been going to the public track to walk. Gyms really spoil you as you have air conditioning etc., so I was really miserable outdoors. I was complaining to myself about the humidity, the sitch in my side and I was just getting ready to leave when a new person stepped on to the…

My Sucess so far!!
I turned 25 on April 2nd, we had a party and took lots of pictures. Well that's when reality set in! I looked like a beach ball sitting on the floor opening gifts! So I decided to change. I was 204lbs!! I'm 5`2! That's not good at all! I've always been small but apparently I let myself go. I don't have any children so I…

Original Success
As with many (from what I understand) when I first kicked off a "fitness program" my initial success was fast and relatively easy. What I didn't know at the time was that my intake was off balance as far as carbs, fat and protein. I'm 45 years old, work in front of a computer most days, am 5-10 and was 207.5. In the first…

My first 5K
I did it!! Ran my first 5K this morning, which was also the first time I'd run on anything but the treadmill. LOL It was very hard, with hills and one section where we were running on gravel rather than pavement. I was so sure I wasn't going to be able to make my goal of finishing in 30 minutes or less. As I entered the…
