YAY!!!!!
So, today I hit 40lbs lost!!!! That's 40lbs in 10 weeks, so 4 pounds a week!!! I actually started out very fast (recent 20lbs gain that was easy to lose and also with a lot of weight to lose) and it made my already failing gallbladder attack me every single time I ate. Because of this (and testing to prove that my…

Sucess comes over time :-)
So when I began this trip to lose weight, I was in pretty good condition. By that I mean, I could run a mile if i have to but didn't prefer to. So I began training on the treadmill and slowly but surely, it was fun to run. This past weekend, it all came full circle and I did something I have never done before: Ran 5k !!…

WHAT!? WHAT? Oh no they didn't!
So, I went into Goodwill yesterday to see if they had some kind of furniture to fit my shoe fetish (he he!) Couldn't find anything, so as I was about to leave I passed the jeans/pants roundabout and say, hmmmm, let's see what they have there. :ohwell: So I found a couple of DKNY, Banana Republic, Gap and some other great…

It's a small one, but I'm still proud
I took my first walk outside today (a walk that didn't include going to class or getting errands done). I've been youtubing exercise videos since the weekend and I felt daring this morning. I even kept going when it started to rain.

It really is possible. Thank you MPF.
Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've posted, but I just wanted to tell everyone out there it is possible to lose the weight and keep it off. It's been just a little over a month and I've been able to keep everything off. If anything MFP has taught me how to make better food choices and it's really been a life change.…

wHOO HOO!!!
This morning I put on my old SIZE 12 JEANS!!! I know that's not a huge deal to some people, but to me it is enormous!!!! I have been in the 14's for a really flippin' long time and I was talking to my husband this morning about how I was so frustrated and I just said I was going to try them on and I did and they fit!!!!

MAJOR GOAL ACHIEVED!!
I'm in my prepregnancy uniform. Nomex (firefighting clothing) is great for many things, but no stretchy. It's like wearing duct tape if it's too small, and I end up looking like the stay-puft marshmallow man (or the michelin man). I just needed to share. Thank you all for your motivation and support. Rae

OK, so last weekend I went camping with the guyz for a "Men's Weekend". This involved consuming massive amounts of alcohol, and really good, cooked outdoors food, yum. We also did a lot of Frisbee Golf, Horseshoes, and paddling. So it wasn't *all* consume calories. I did make it a point to try and burn a few more calories…

I am happy to report that in the 9-10 months that I have been using MFP I have lost 43 lbs and 15 inches! I hit my goal weight (actually surpassed it by 1 lb) yesterday. I had to get it ALTERED!!
So I bought a dress a month and a half ago and haven't worn it yet - a super cute strapless black and white print number. It was a smidge big when I bought it but they didn't have my size. I have a wedding on Saturday, I pulled out the dress today and I was SWIMMING in it!! I actually took it to a taylor and not only did…

My mom says this is tacky...but I'm too excited not to share
I put on my prom dress today...and it fit! I was very heavyset in high school, so my prom dress is a plus sized dress...I graduated in 2002, and a few years ago I tried on my prom dress in the hopes of wearing it to a military ball with my then husband...but it didn't fit...not even close...with the 25 pounds that I've…

30. YEAH!
YESSS!! Today I get to celebrate the loss of 30 lbs. THIRTY POUNDS!!! I began on June 8th of this year and I'm so happy with this progress    It's a perk I needed as my morale has felt sloppy the last couple of weeks. 30 lbs is SOMETHING though. And I'm only 5lbs from my half way point :noway:
