U.S. JUNIOR RYDER CUP
Pardon a wee bit of braggin' on my little girl-- she was part of the recent U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team that competed in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She and her team beat the European Junior team 22-2, a margin of victory that "they" say will never be realized again. PGA officials told us our American team became a part of…

I made it through my first week!
It is already getting easier. I still feel hungry sometimes, but the cravings aren't as bad, and today at work I said no thank you to cake, and I didnt even feel like I was missing out on much. I know in a week or so the weight loss will slow down to 1-2 lbs each week (which is fine!) but I did quite enjoy losing 9 pounds…

I started this website 1 1/2 months ago. That is when I started working out. It may be a little longer. Anyway I bought a HR monitor and when I first started working out like walking for an extended period of time and I would try and jog just a little my HR would be up close to 90%. Now when I do that it is about 80% or…

Woohoo!!
I am no longer in the "overweight" range! My BMI is exactly 25. :drinker: My goal weight is 145, which would put me at a 22.5 BMI, according to MFP. Sounds good enough for me!

Chunky Monkey
So my DH has been upset this week. He finally yelled at me Wed for not having any 'food' in the house. I pointed out there is plenty of food. His response was I NEED MEAT! :explode: I really LOL   then told him I am the one doing all the cooking, shopping and dishes, so I get to choose the food. I pointed out…

A Great Run
Ok ok I know this isn't a very big deal but for me it is! Today I ran my first 2 miles straight! I have never done that before in my life and I am so happy that I finally did it! Before I couldn't even run 200 meters without stopping. So this week I decided to start running with one of my friends and she really motivated…

Okay, so yesterday at work I got my first "Hey, are you losing weight" from one of my co-workers. It took me by surprise a little bit, but what a great feeling I got, it made my day. So now she's my new best friend :) haha Thank you MFP and all you supporters out there, you are all great people. I owe that first compliment…

I am awesome
Okay here's my big success story for today. I went to the gas station. They had fresh Snickerdoodle cookies. You know the really good ones that are just chewy enough to be perfect and melt in your mouth, about 8 inches in diameter. I left with out getting one. Hey one small step for man kind, one giant step for Anna. Yeah,…

One Year MFP Anniversary
So, one year ago today, I joined MFP. I had just turned 50 years old and was at least 30 pounds overweight. As others have stated something inside just snapped and I said "enough". I started walking 30 minutes per day, 5 days per week and figured as long as I did even just that- it was better than what I had been doing,…

Finally punched through a plateau!!
Something shocking happened last night & I'm really stoked about it. I've worked my way up to running a 5 mile course a couple times a week, generally completing the run in 46 - 48 minutes. For a couple weeks now I've had a goal of running that course in less than 45 minutes (it has 3 monster hills), but NO LUCK.…

No so sickly skinny anymore
Hello everyone, This was really hard work for me and I was never able to stay motivated to see a fitness program all the way through until now which just makes victory all that much more sweet. I am very happy with what I have done and plan to go for more. http://eyesoffire.net/passionforfitnessinfo/small2.jpg…
