You might think from the photos that the Covid vax is a great weight-loss drug!
Here I am getting my first dose on February 4, 2021. Here I am 90 pounds and eight months later, my booster dose, October 4, 2021. I did this thanks to MFP logging (263 day streak!) and faithful exercising (walked first, now the bike). Am currently trying to make a gradual transition to losing my last 20 lbs and…

Fizzy water weight
Putting away my shopping yesterday I realised my seven 2 litre bottles of fizzy water were equal to the weight I have lost since July 5th. It's amazing when you see it there in front of you, I'm not carrying all this around with me all day anymore!

Me and My Husband Did It Together
I am so proud of what we have accomplished. His goal was muscle gain and he started out at 350lbs about 7 years ago. He's now 220 lbs and has a lot of muscle on him, especially in the last year. I started out at 230 lbs and I am now down to 188 lbs but I've been doing a lot of toning the past 2 1/2 months so the visuals…

Diary of an young 81 year lady.
I'm 81 years young and gained 40 lbs when I returned to college to complete my degree in accounting. I gained an additional 26 lbs after retiring. I lost 19 lbs when I topped the scales at 206 lbs. I maintained my weight for a 2 years and then decided to lose 10 per cent of my body weight at my Doctors request because I…

Three Years and counting
Three years ago today I reached my goal weight. A number I had chased my entire adult life. Could I stand to lose 10 more - yup. But I've been on a journey of self-acceptance, of not letting the scale play mind tricks on me, of learning to enjoy life AND enjoy fitness. In the three years since that day I have never been…

Amazed by people's assumptions of how you lose weight
It always gets me when people ask how you lost weight and then seem to expect a "quick and easy" miracle for the answer. They lose interest real fast when you explain the months of dedication and the slow process of losing. Was it the latest fad diet? LOL :)

Progress in 8 months!!
I rarely post progress pics and ignore my dirty mirror but the biggest motivation I have, besides my family, is progress photos. I'm in shock at how much 8 months of hard work has made. Finally don't hate my body but still have another 20-30 lbs to go. Almost there!!

How long did it take you to lose a stone /14lbs?
I'm just interested to see how long it took people to lose that first stone and what you did to get there? E.g. just diet / just exercise / a combination of both ? I'm really keen to see this first stone go, to get me to the weight I thought I was before I stepped on the scales for the first time in months! I'm eating with…

Losing weight has been relatively easy
I gained a lot of weight over the past couple years because I had become less active, was over-eating and making poor food choices. Various aches, pains, aging and appearance concerns were dragging me down and effecting my mental health. I finally had enough and I knew it was all up to me to do something about it. I joined…

I reached my goal and lost 130 pounds!!
Hey everyone! After suffering from morbid obesity for most of my life, I lost 130 pounds so I could look good on stage. I am a 23 year old music artist who finally gained the confidence to play local gigs! So here's the story: At 330 pounds and just 22 years old, I started getting lower back pain. The pain was so severe…

How hitting my weight goal sucked!
I spent 5 years yoyo dieting. I'd get on track for a little while, lose a couple pounds, completely stop, repeat….. Trying every diet, the good, the bad, the crazy.. The fad, the unhealthy, and of course all the good ones too. I've done all the MLMs, I've fallen for the “try this product today” 1-800 commercials, i've…

1 year and 3 months, 146 pounds lost.
Last year at the start of the pandemic, I didn't really have an excuse anymore. I was 372 pounds, alone with an exercise bike and a bowflex, had to order groceries online, worked from home, so all temptation was out the window. I was able to get a physical during the early months of the pandemic, and everything I saw sent…

In addition to celebrating our weight loss, health successes and NSVs, I find it encouraging to celebrate personal successes, in terms of what you have noticed about yourself during this journey – perhaps improvements in character that came about quite unintentionally. Some may be deep and require some introspection, while…
