I believed in myself!
So here is a story of a girl who always had a weight issue… I’ve tried most diets and failed. It’s hard, but this time I tried a “combo attack” between MFP and another weight loss program that deals with the psychological portion of weight loss, I have almost reached a 30 pound weight loss since May 28, 2021. I’m not…

13 Pounds lost and $145 gained
My username should be "Take out Girl" or "Call-in Queen" I always loved to order food. On Fridays, we ordered pizza or Chinese and indulged a little. The kitchen stayed clean for one day. When the pandemic and the lockdown hit, we decided to support the restaurants. We signed up with a delivery service and when more and…

Massive A1C drop three months after diagnosis
Long story. But the important details are: Medical neglect from a certain doctor led me to not have symptoms taken seriously for some time. Woke up in early February unable to feel my toes. Yikes. My A1C was 9.2. Dang it. My husband has been diabetic for decades, so I knew what had to be done. I restarted SparkPeople…

87 Pounds in One Year???
In April of 2020 (the 26th to be exact), after losing my Mother to COVID on 4/2 I took a good, HARD, HONEST look at my life and what I was doing. I weighed 281.6 pounds (feel free to look at MFP logs). I was still coaching and competing in triathlons, marathons, etc. but was KILLING myself. Had to find something. Change my…

Small Success!
I'm back on the low-carb plan. Not going full-on keto, just low carb. I've been at it for three days and have lost 2.5 pounds! I'm sure much of that was fluid retention, but as long as I see progress I'll be happy. I don't care if it takes two years to lose 30 pounds, I just want to see the scale showing a downward…

Taking a rest today!
I did a 31 minute dance workout on Wednesday. It involved quite a bit of jumping around. Then I did a lower body workout on the mat for 30 minutes. I decided to take a rest day today bcoz my knees are starting to complain! AND it's Friday! Yay! I will do more exercise over the weekend! I m making a promise to myself!

385 days - my progress
Today is day 385 of my streak on MFP. I’m a 37-year-old woman from Belgium, 166cm/5’5”, and I had been gaining weight steadily ever since my early twenties. Last year, something finally ‘clicked’ in my head: I started a free trial on Noom and then quickly switched to MFP. So here’s my journey so far, in numbers: - 385 days…

A Broken Man, But Better...
Full disclosure, I am not entirely comfortable posting this but it was strongly recommended by my therapist that I should. Hopefully it will reach someone who can be helped by it. For most of my life I was in pretty good shape. I was active in sports and routinely got out of the house to go for bike rides or hikes.…

My "wow" moment
My goal was to lose 35 pounds and I made it! But my biggest "wow" moment came when I was carrying a full 2 gallon watering can with each arm. I realized I was carrying roughly an extra 32 pounds and what a lot more effort it took to climb some stairs. It was a great visualization of the relief my joints must feel!

Small Success
I have almost completed my first week on WW Freestyle and I'm still logging on MFP. I am not doing keto, but my daughter is and has lost 10 in about a month. I am reducing my carbs to very few. I am not planning to weigh until Sunday morning, so I don't know how much I have lost. It's so early yet that it is probably just…

Existential Crisis Alert! Got back to logging my food at Christmas 2020 with my 40th Birthday half a year away. My goal was to be sub-10% BF and I charted my course by simplifying it down to concentrating on calorie intake and challenging myself to work on a new Bodyweight Skill each month, as well as 30 to 90 minute walks…

The Fight of my Life -Update WaistBasket
43 days ago I found MFP. Not sure what to expect I but I wanted to give it a try. I lost 25 pounds. I still weigh 337 pounds and now I am ashamed of it. I can't love my body or my weight no matter what the media tells me. I don't want to look and feel like this. How did it even happen? I love myself as a person, but not…

Success in Progress
Hello everybody. My name is Tony. I am a 41 year old retired wounded vet. I lost my left leg in Iraq in 2005. Over the last 13 or so years I have had a tremendous and horrible time trying to get a prosthetic fit properly. I finally did a procedure called Osseo Integration. That being done the overall outlook still didn't…
