From 300 to 149
Well, I've officially lost half of myself. I maintained at around 165 for 2 years. I was ok with that. I was going through a divorce and problems at work on top of having a baby midst my weightloss journey. A few months back though I decided to really focus on it. And found it in myself to get my dedication back. I can say…

6ft 2 - 290lbs. Looking for Sucsess Stories Similar to my build
Hey Everyone! Hope you're all gearing up to have a great weekend. I've been on a fitness/weight loss journey for years. However, I'm reaching a little wall right now. I work out 5 days a week, my diet isn't great, and that's lead me to stall in my weight loss. I'd love to hear some stories or see pictures of people around…

The jeans
This is going to be a somewhat long and self indulgent post, so apologies in advance. These jeans have a story. One that is very important to me. About 5.5 years ago I was fat. I was unhappy. I was not a good version of me. My clothes didn’t fit. I’d had enough. I needed to quit signing my own *kitten*. January 1, 2016 I…

Share your quarantine success stories!
When coronavirus started I was overweight and extremely insecure. With all the newfound free time I decided to make a change and take control of my health before college. I started eating better and working out regularly (thank you Chloe Ting). I started at 194.6 (a size 12ish) and I’m now 138 (a size 2)! I lost 56 lbs…

Success - change dinner time (if you can)!!!
I changed my eating schedule and found GREAT success. Went from 158 to 144 in 4 months and not hungry. AND it's stayed off. Since I live alone, it was easy. I eat breakfast (yogurt & granola) and then eat dinner at 1-3pm. At about 6-7pm I have a snack (usually fruit). Thought I'd share. I discovered this while hiking…

An Open Letter to Plus Sized Stores (DXL/Big & Tall)
We need to talk. It's not you, it's me. We can still be friends? The truth is, I'm not the man I was when we met. Rather, I'm almost half the man. I've outgrown you... or maybe it's just the opposite. I'll always remember the good times together. You were the only one for me. The only store that actually had clothes that…

Progress part 1
I am writing this so I can look back and see my progress. When I started my journey for better health in October of 2020 I figured I would end up like I always do...failing. However, this time was different. I had developed some health issues that needed to be addressed, as did my husband. So together we decided it was…

Cardio Improvement!
Today I jogged for 3 minutes without stopping. Not once, not twice, but 3 times! This is a HUGE improvement from the 15 seconds that I could jog 11 days ago. I am going to celebrate all the little successes that exercise brings in the hope that I'll stick with it this time and not give up on myself. ( I don't usually pat…

Lost 200+ Pounds and Moving to the Next Level
Hi! I'm new here. I've lost over 200 pounds without weight loss surgery or crazy diets and I'm ready for the next level. I got kind of comfy here the past 3 or so years because I wasn't as uncomfortable as I used to be. That tends to wear off. My back is still a mess of disk problems and I now need knee replacements among…

When you feel like you're not making any progress....
People always say take photos instead of weighing yourself and my god those people are right. Today is the first time I've compared my photos side by side and now I can see it... These days the scales hardly budge at all, but since I started lifting 6 weeks ago, I'm starting to see the physique I was looking for trying to…

365 Days
Today is 365 Days on FitnessPal for me. One year ago, I had just returned from a beach trip to Florida and looked at our family pictures and was in shock. I knew I had gained some weight before covid and then during covid, lots of sitting, snacking, and drinking, but I had not realized just how big I had gotten. That was…

Anyone lost 100lbs without loose skin?
Hey guys, I've started my weight loss journey and I'm prepared to have loose skin as my weight comes off. My stats are: Female, 5'2, SW: 236lbs, GW: 130 lbs I'm prepared to have lose skin because even now with all this weight I have two droopy fat rolls on my stomach and saggy boobs but I'm still hoping to hear of some…

Over a hundred lost in 10 months
Last September I had medical issues relating to my weight: high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, gout just to name a few. That and the global pandemic scared me into taking action to eat better. I have been a number of different weights through-out my life, but at that time I was the heaviest I'd ever been. This was…

Celebrating my First Milestone!
[Fair warning: this is a long post. I'm sorry for those it might bore, but truthfully I'm writing it for me, as a marker of my success. And I've never been short-winded, as my late mother would confirm. Feel free to skip if time is a premium for you.] 18 weeks ago, I was in an emotional tailspin after 2 of my doctors said…
