Insanity? I want to hear from real people
I was wanting to hear from people who have actually done it. What kind of results you had and how hard it was to stick to the program. I'm thinking about getting it, but wanted to hear from real people on here first :)

When you lose weight do others ask about your partner's health jouney
Hello I have been on my weight loss journey 18 months. I started out weighing 280, i am currently 198. Finally under 200. My man is heavy set but I love every pound of him lol. However when ppl approach me they always ask "how is he doing on his journey?" The thing is I never mentioned that he is trying to lose weight. Are…

Lost 19.1 kg in 7 months using MFP
From an obese 96.6 kg to a more trim 77.9 kg - nearly 3 stone gone. Recording calories relentlessly in MFP and monitoring the target there, at least 10k steps per day and at least three sessions of cycling or elliptical trainer a week for 30 minutes each minimum. Plus 1.6 litres of water a day minimum. And a hell of a lot…

REACHED GOAL Down 230 LBS (405 to 175) PHOTO
REACHED GOAL and now for maintenance…actually went 10-15 lbs below goal so we’ll see. Hit highest weight (405) in Nov 2013. Lost about 190 lbs by Feb 2015. Did great for a long time and then a yo-yo struggle w/ that last 50- 90 pound loss. On May 13, 2019, I adopted a 16/8 Intermittent Fasting regimen. It was a “lifestyle”…

Everyone’s journey is different
No one shares the same journey. Mine has taken years and still continues. It has involved losses and gains more than once. To me it was like quitting smoking- I did that 9 times before it finally took 8 years ago. The collage below shows me at my highest in 2008, my current lowest now and several in between. I am still…

The benefit of losing Facebook?
I’ve just completed week 3 And I’m 8lbs down I’ve successfully done significant weight loss twice before on MFP, but it’s taken me months to get back into it this time. So what was the difference of the last 3 weeks? I lost access to Facebook! So every time I habitually looked to my phone where did I go? I logged my food!…

I would love to hear success stories of people GAINING weight!
I am naturally very thin and have failed many times during my life trying to gain weight (and to keep the weight on). I've been feeling pretty discouraged lately so I would really love to hear stories or see pictures of success to help motivate me!

Before and After Story
I've been anorexic for 30 years, but within the past 7 I started really fighting my body because it was piling on the weight no matter what I did. At 5'2 almost 5'3", I eventually was 177 pounds! So I went to an obesity specialist who put me on Metformin for a prediabetic condition I had developed. I resumed eating 1200…

Back a month, lost 12 pounds, fasting blood sugar in 130s
A little over a month ago, I got a scare when my increasing A1C was galloping upwards and my fasting blood sugar was in the mid-300s. No more fooling around for me. On to Jardiance and back to MFP it is. This morning my blood sugar was in the 130s (as the endocrinologist said we should aim for) and I've lost 12 pounds.…

Before and after!
Never thought I would post before and (almost) after pictures. My goal is 28 more pounds. I still have a "hide my figure in big clothes" mindset, but not as much as before. I never thought I would have an issue buying and wearing clothes that actually fit and show my figure.

Goodbye lockdown weight!
I have now re-lost 12.5lb and am back to where I was before I started putting on the pounds in lockdown. I mean, yes, I'm still a fattie and I still have a long way to go (I need to lose another 45 lb to hit goal), but this was my first real milestone and I've hit it. It took me about a month to gain the 12.5lb…

100 pounds down today
There is 12 years between these photos. It has taken a long time and a lot of setbacks and I know I still have some ways to go. Probably another 55 pounds to get to under 25 bmi. However, even if I never get there, I am loving where I am, and that is important. The biggest thing has been learning to love myself NOW. Not…

BMI below 30 for the first time in years
Today I weighed myself and for the first time in I don't know how many years, my BMI was not in the obese range (it was 29.9). I know this is only one battle won in a life-long war against obesity. I don't really think I can afford to see myself as a person who is not obese, only a person whose obesity is "in remission".…

186 to 168
It was a tough thing for me to start out, however I will admit I was increasingly excited about starting a diet and even more a gym routine. What actually got me motivated was seeing how fit most people my age were and si remember thinking I could do exactly that. This was 3 months of dieting and about 2 months of weight…

Twoderland!
Is that a thing? I don't care. After years of struggling over 300 lbs I finally hit 299 today! I started this journey at 367 lbs so I've lost 68 lbs at this point. A few things this means to me: 1) My aspiration of getting to 200 lbs seems more realistic than ever 2) to get to that point I have fewer than 100 lbs to lose…
