One year later: a changed life
I want to celebrate today, not because today marks my one year anniversary using MyFitnessApp, or that in that time I have lost 94 pounds. I want to celebrate the depths of Love that God has opened up for me. The following are 6 excepts from my personal journals from this past year that I want to share with my friends. If…

Reaching my weight loss goal after a thyroidectomy!!
Hello all, I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I wanted to share my story with you in hopes that it inspires you to never give up on yourself. I made the decision to change my life 15 months ago, that was 6 months post-op having my thyroid removed. I started at 187 lbs and I was at my rock bottom. I was in a very…

I know you'll understand
Today I got weighed and since starting MFP I have lost 38lbs. I have a lot to lose so it's not really showing yet. The only comment I've had was negative. I told someone that I'd lost 38lbs only to be told, 'Well you have a long way to go.' Yes I know I have a long way to go but I need to celebrate 38lbs. So I'm asking you…

Shifted 20 kgs over 2 years...
I must say it has been bumpy ride, but have finally managed to get rid of 20 kgs. :-). Now looking forward to lose 5 more kgs and to maintain it going forward. In my opinion, losing weight is just 20% of work done, rest 80% is to maintain it. Any thoughts folks?

Reaching your goal weight
I reached my goal weight a couple of months ago, but I wasn’t as happy with my physique as I thought I’d be. I lost an additional 5 pounds and now I’m down to 103 lbs (I’m 5’0” so it’s not underweight at all). I think I’ll need to lose about 5 more pounds to look exactly as I want to look, but I’m not positive. Has anyone…

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share my story with you :) This is is my second time on MFP. After having my second baby I gained back all the pounds that I lost and a little more. I had not been comfortable with my body since I was a teen. I decided to do something about it and keep going! My beginner weight was 184 lbs and…

Share your successes with me! (Motivation Thread)
In December 2018 (17 months ago) I was obese, unconfident and unhealthy. I couldn’t walk 1 km on the flat. I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror and I hated buying clothes and meeting new people for fear of what they would think of me. I would never wear fitting tops or dresses, anything sleeveless or anything above my…

Love this app
On January 6,2020 I weighted in at 300. Today with regular exercise , the MyFitnessPal app (staying under daily calorie goal), and the support of my beautiful lovely wife, I hit my target goal of 240. 60 pounds down. Thanks Under Armour for keeping this app free. I don’t know if I would have done this if I had to pay to use

Weight loss and muscle gain- 80 lbs lost
Hi everyone! So my last post was pretty short and I didn’t say much about how I lost weight and gained more confidence and love for taking care of my body! I was about 270lbs at my heaviest. I was drinking a LOT, had other bad habits, and eating a lot of fast food. Over the last 3 years, I began feeding my body like I…

Half the man I used to be
My peak weight was 360 lbs, this morning I weigh 180 lbs. It has been a long process, my peak weight was about 15 years ago and I have had a lot of ups and downs. I started MFP at 335 lbs a few years ago, and started my current diet at 320 lbs last May. Since then I have not had s single day over 1,500 calories and…

Closing in on 2 years
Almost 2 years now (June 4, 2018) since I started looking after myself better. I came from 255 lbs to 188 this morning. Gained some muscle along the way doing weights. It's been bumpy ride and it surely does not get easier with age. There is always something to knock you off the wagon, (birthdays, Christmas, holidays and…

70 lbs down in 315 days
So, I have struggled all my life with weight. Binge eating, secret eating, and emotional eating. Basically if you could feel the feeling, I had a good that went with it. Like a wine pairing. I’m bougee like that. July 1st, I started Whole30 and never looked back. I now bounce between Whole30 and Paleo, and up until this…

I reached One-derland today!
I've been going hard out since the start of August. I started at 268lbs and have been logging in every single day. I cut out all soda and junk which was the hardest thing in the world to me. Today I finally went below 200lbs when I weighed this morning. Funny how my weight sat just above it for several weeks as if the…

1 Month Progress
I started my workout journey in early April. I have been working out at home using Chloe Tings, getfitbyivana and Pamela Reifs workouts. Focusing on the ab/butt and cardio. I started with 20 minutes and now do 30 minutes 4-5 days a week and sometimes a 30 minute walk as well. I have lost 5 inches total in my waist/ stomach…
