The Quarantine Diet
So...apparently, quarantine agrees with me. In the last 2 (or is it 3?) weeks, I've lost 4.8 pounds. What Hasn't Changed What I eat - Still within my calorie limits. Still eating copious amounts of chocolate. Tightened my belt a little bit to avoid frequent shopping trips, but otherwise, most eating habits have remained…

What can three months do?
Three months can: drop my weight by 25 pounds drop one shirt size drop one cup/band size on the bra drop two pants sizes and give me double the standing ability on arthritic feet double the energy I have to get through the day an insane amount of confidence in my ability to see this through another hundred pounds! If you…

1st 5K done!!! (Finished C25K during COVID-19 outbreak in China)
Greetings from China! I've used MFP since 2016 and have stayed moderately active since then. I mainly do strength trainings and group aerobic dance classes (Zumba and LesMills BodyJam) in my gym. I was never really a fan of running because I found it repetitive and was quite self conscious whenever I ran outdoors, until I…

My Progress Since October
I got back on the Peloton bike in October, riding at least 4x/week. Added the Peloton Tread in March so also doing runs at least 3x/week. Need to add in strength training. Down 25 lbs since October, progress would be better if I could stop sabotaging myself with beer, pizza, and chocolate.

Need an accountability partner!
I am 26, around 170 pounds and 5'6...it's not ideal. I need someone to sort of motivate me and I can motivate and check in with regularly! I mostly am looking to start slow - quarantined so just the 10k steps a day and hopefully the chloe ting at home shred challenge. Let me know if you want to hold each other accountable!

Day One - New Mind Set
I suffered from chronic head pain for the past 3 years. I'm tired of using that as an excuse to continue to eat unhealthy and not excercise. My goal is to be healthy again and regain my confidence to be the person I was meant to be. I am looking forward in my growth and not looking back 😀

I'd almost given up hope...
I was at a point where I just didn't care anymore about what I was eating or how much. Back in 2013, I was hospitalized with a near-fatal case of double pneumonia (I was intubated and placed in a medically-induced coma) and spent two weeks in ICU. The depression I felt afterword felt crippling, and didn't care if I lived…

Not counting calories and maintaining weight
For the first time ever since I was a kid, I've been successfully maintaining my goal weight without counting calories. I'm basically just eating when I'm hungry, only eating whole food plant based, and exercising 5-6 times a week (cardio about four times a week, and two strength days). It feels so freeing to not have to…

Well, one month down and feel great.
So can finally show some pictures: a before and after. I am running a few trail cameras in our HOA park due to vandalism, so I get access to all the images, including of me using the park. This is 177 down to 155. Now, according to a lot of folks here, the next 5 may be a bit harder to take off, but that final 10 they say…

A 365 Day Retrospective
Today is my 365 day mark since downloading MFP and trying actively to lose weight. I've dropped from 276 to 192.2. That's a solid 1.5 lbs per week for 52 weeks. Not that it was ever that linear lol. I've had two or three month long stalls. I've had a few bad weeks where I ate SO much and gained weight. I've had days where…

Step goals and consistency
In 2016 I was averaging less than 2,000 steps a day. I was dealing with an insane work schedule, chronic pain issues, depression and my dad had recently been diagnosed with late stage cancer. Over the last few years, I have advocated for myself and my health. I have been in psychotherapy for over a year to work on my…

34 lbs gone in just under 8 weeks
Began my journey, using my treadmill, and changing my eating habits. Even though treadmill was only used for a few months (had it for a few years but couldn't use due to tendinitis in my feet and knee issues) I already replaced it yesterday with a new Horizon 7.8 AT and am loving it - going to get even MORE use now... But…
