Flat Belly Diet. Anyone have any comments on this diet?
When I was using Fitness Pal when I lost weight the first time, I was on the Flat Belly Diet which closely resembles a Mediteranean diet. I had very good luck with it and the food is wonderful. I have the cookbook also and there are fantastic recipes in them. Is there a place where I might post some of them? They are…

What do you think about meal replacement shakes
I have been drinking shakes for breakfast for nearly a week now and reduced my snacks and portion size for lunch and dinner. I haven't lost any weight yet. I have also been working out. Should I increase the 2 -3 meal replacement? P.s I'm not trying to lost a lot of weight.

Calories in app
I get overwhelmed with knowing what to put in for an food item in app. For instance hamburger. Today we made hamburger on grill, probably 4 oz? There were a variety of different calorie choices on the app! I find this very frustrating and feel like I am guessing half the time. What would a 80% lean 4 ounce burger on grill…

Drink Water..,...........!
The biggest thing I had to remember was ..The sneaky FIRST WEEK- WATER WEEK. I have avoid or did an over ride by adding a few cups then 1-2 each additional day. I have had to explain to clients in the past why they lost 10 pounds the first week and 1-2 the following weeks.

How to stop snacking!!!
I am new to MFP but I am already eating better and being more AWARE of calories. Who knew you can manage to get through so many without even realizing!!! What I find super hard is giving up snacking on chocolate, crisps etc. How do you come to terms with giving up junk food? Is there a way to eat it in moderation and still…

Eating More Fruit
Is there anyone here that didn't really like fruit, but when you started eating more, you learned to love it? I love bananas already, but don't really care for apples, grapes, oranges, etc. Don't get me wrong, I will eat it, but if given the opportunity to eat fruit or something like some Triscuits and cheese, I would take…

Macros
This is macros for today. Does it look alright? Does it matter if I have more protein or carbs? Should these be in a particular ratio ?

Green almond calories
I can't find nutritional info anywhere. Many sources say they're the same as regular roasted almonds but this can't be right, maybe they mean the kernel (white) part? I eat the green shell as well. Fresh almonds have a much higher moisture level so they can't have the same caloric density. The shape and consistency is…

Macros
My macros are 5% carbs, 20% protein and 75% fat. This is what is recommended for Keto I believe after doing my research a few weeks ago. It may seem like high fat and low protein but that is how it’s supposed to be. Any extra protein (which raises insulin) will be used as an energy source and stored as fat. I’m full all…

Going over in protien?
Hello! I started tracking my food etc. again yesterday after being off MFP for a while. I want to get serious about my diet, especially because big changes are coming for my husband (bariatric surgery in a week), and I want us to make healthy changes together. I digress though. Yesterday I went over my recommended protein…

Keto without the Dairy
I'm doing the FitMum Nourish plan if any of you are familiar with that. I'm a little more flexible with my fats than the plan would recommend but other than that, I'm sticking with the recommended veggies and protein portions. Part of this plan which is essentially low fat keto is NO dairy. Eggs are okay but no cow milk or…

Convince me to trash them
Ugh, I hate having stuff in the house that I'm not even crazy about enough to eat but eat them anyways. And dh doesn't like those kinds of things. Why is it so difficult to just toss them out; I feel so guilty. :(

Low carb AND low sodium?? Is it even possible?
I'm a type 2 diabetic and Dr has put me on a 40-55 g total carbs per meal ( that is a whole different topic itself) and I'm finding that as I putting together my meal plans on paper, I can keep my carbs with in range, but sodium always seems high. Who knew vegetables had sodium??? Is it even possible to have low carbs and…

Post a pic! The smallest way to eat 2000 calories.

How can I cut my sugar down?
I just looked at my food diary. I haven't yet finished tracking today. I've had over 100g of sugar! all I've had is peaches, a banana, and milk with my rolled oats and cups of tea. I'm meant to be cutting back on sugar/carbs to get rid of high blood sugar and avoid diabetes. Does sugar from fruit/milk count towards the…

Hello all, I would love it if someone can share a simple 1,500 calorie meal plan. I live in Italy so it would be great if it used ingredients that I can find here (salmon, olive oil, eggs, etc.). I appreciate it!!

Eating the same thing every day?
The last three months have been a real success for me -- I've managed to find the right caloric intake to lose an average of just over one pound per week, and I'm not struggling with hunger or fatigue (both of which often lead to binging for me). I've also made regular exercise a habit. I'm feeling pretty good about myself…

Calorie counting 501 - post photos of things that you just can't count
Right, this went slightly wrong. Got a lot more food delivered than I'd ordered and will be eating from this for I don't know how long. No bloody idea how to count calories, or how much to eat. Considering some of the rice is likely cooked in coconut milk I can't just count cooked rice either. This will be a very tough…
