Glorious One-Pot: Infusion Ideas?
Anyone else using the Glorious One-Pot Meals Infusion cooking method? I've found it a great way to get loads of veggies (root and greens) into my diet. I often leave the grain out of the recipe or substitute quinoa for the rice. Improvising is half the fun, and I'd love to share ideas.

oatmeal has no fiber?
I'm shocked! I thought that was the point of eating it. Oh, went back and looked it up again, but clicked on a different entry, and I see it does have 3 or 4 grams, depending on type etc. Maybe a mistake in the one entry.

Juicing - Is anyone else here doing it?
I've been juicing the mean green juice from the Fat, Sick and Dying recipe and while my nutrient stats are through the roof and I feel great I just can't figure out the calorie content that comes up when I search for it here. I figured it up and found that it comes to at the most, 17 calories per ounce. I'm not doing a…

Nutrition Facts Labels - you will not like this!
This is from "Eat This - Not That". The FDA allows food manufacturers to use averages for the calorie counts, salt content and fat grams (and any other information on the Nutrition Facts panel) of their foods, and food manufacturers are allowed to be off by as much as 20 percent. So that 500-calorie frozen dinner you're…

Whole30 - completed :)
Last night marked the end of the 30th day that I rigorously followed the rules of the Whole30 program. I lost 16.6 pounds in those 30 days. I ran a half marathon to completion on day 29, which isn't really related to the Whole30, but worth noting, since I totally had the energy, stamina and strength to do that without any…

I started planning my day tracking lots of things but they never were all in the "green"- some I had too much of but other things I didnt have enough. It gave me a headache so hoping I can just track calories and call it a day?

Help with the Weekends
Hello, I find it very hard to stay focused and on track with my diet on the weekends. During the week I do great (drink my water, stay on track with my calories, eat right) and when the weekend comes because I don't leave the house too much I find myself looking in cabinets for food and eating when I'm not even hungry. In…

Popcorn
I am pretty good at reading labels. Looking at Act II Butter Popcorn Label. Serving size is 2 Tbsp unpopped (makes about 4.5 cups popped). There are 2.5 servings a bag. Unpopped calories per serving are 130 and popped is 25. SO.....There are 9 cups and bag, and I can eat 4.5 cups for 25 calories? That seems like A LOT of…

Abs and cheat days/meals
Okay so I eat clean a good 90-95% of the time. I have a flat stomach with a little definition which I am happy with and don't want to lose. However, I am currently working to gain some weight (around 10 or more pounds) and was considering the idea of a cheat day while I eat 100% clean the other 6 days of the week. Now, I…

Do you eat back your exercise calories?
I love this site, so please don't think I"m complaining. But I typically never log in exercise, because I don't want it adding those calories to my remaining balance. Unless I have a fairly intense workout or a long distance run, I try and stay away from those calories. However, I just started my mini marathon training…

Stupid question about vegetables.
I've always heard (and never really fully bought) the theory that the longer you cook your veg, the fewer nutrients the finished product will contain. But if I make, say, a marinara sauce, with lots of veggies, and I let it simmer for several hours, am I losing a meaningful amount of the nutrients? Especially since I've…

Always over on sugar!
It seems like everyday I go over on my daily sugar recommendation. It's not from eating a ton of sweets and junk, but mainly from fruit. I do Green Monster smoothies several times a week, which usually have a cup of berries and a banana, which account for all the excess sugar. Does anyone else have this problem? I feel…
