The end of a morning regular...?
Opened up my Coffee (Can of Mt Dew) this morning and took a swig of it. Just didn't taste right. Too sweet. Waited for a bit, and tried again. Nope, still too sweet. I've had this happen before though, where my body finally goes, "You've had enough. Time to clean up your act." and then suddenly soda tastes like crap? Any…

Food Uniform
I have what I like to call my "food uniform" for breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, it is a hard boiled egg, a piece of fruit and a cup of coffee. Dinner is a piece of protein, salad and wild rice. Easy. Done. Brainless. Every day. I love it, and find comfort in knowing the calories, and I can vary it enough that I do…

Chocolate...
I'm such an all-or-nothing person. We had a family Christmas lunch today, with waay too much cheese and meat and alcohol. And now that I'm off the wagon, it just kinda doesn't seem to stop. Here I am, watching a movie with the family, reading posts on MFP... and munching out on chocolate. Sighs. Guess I'll just enjoy it…

How Dave Tate cuts
Fascinating read on how Dave Tate (World Class Powerlifter) got cut and ripped. It explains his diet and habits that got him looking like this (and remember kids, he was also lifting obscene amounts that us morals will only dream of, and smashing records): And the changes he had to make to get looking like this: Imagine…

Substitutions
I love hummus--especially the spicy type. I was worried that since I relocated from a middlish small town in Ohio to a more rural town in Louisiana I wouldn't find any. I thought that I would have to go to a larger city to find it. I wasn't going to go out of my way to a big city for a dip, so I just resigned myself to…
