I want to purchase a food scale. Does anyone have some suggestions for a decent one that isn't too expensive? I would say under $30. I don't know much about them and if there are better brands than others, so just looking for suggestions..or if anyone has one that they absolutely swear by. I don't know how much a "good"…

My low caloric intake
Hello All!! I'm new here. I decided to take control of my body about 4 weeks ago. My whole life, my issue has been that I don't eat enough to sustain my weight. I want to be…

So I have recently come to the realization that I may have a gluten sensitivity... I was wondering if any of you out there have had experience going gluten free recently on an elimination diet. Glutamine
My coworker was getting ready to hit the gym and looks at me while preping her preworkout stuff and asks "do you take glutamine?" Apparently its supposed to stop the stiff and soreness that is in your muscles after you've had a workout. Now here is my question for you all, would you recomend taking it? Is there a point to…

Im sure this gets asked a lot, BUT: the pre-weight cooking of meat and especially fish differs a lot from the cooked version. Is an ounce of either, as set out in the standard nutrition information pre-or post cooked?

An Article That I Find To Be Extremely Relevant..
Before clicking, it is NSFW, due to language and a picture or two. That out of the way, I present you with one of the absolute best articles I have ever read about diet. It influenced my thinking in that area very heavily when I was first starting, and I figured I should pass it on to all of you to get some thought going.…

Adding dark chocolate to your diet
I don’t watch TV. I haven’t in many years. Since I began this journey to a healthier me, I have been at the gym 3 days a week on the treadmill or bike for an hour a day and its mind numbing so I got a headset and can tune into the 3 TV stations they play. Since I would not waste brain cells on Judge Judy or Dr. Phil, I am…

Lessons learned from a cruise
So, I've been losing weight very, very slowly for the last 8 months - about 15 pounds total since March even though I eat about 1800 calories a day and work out nearly every day with cardio or strength. Also, never eating past 6 pm so that I have time to burn off dinner. then I have a cruise in October and I've heard all…

Nature Valley Granola Bars
Has anyone tried these bars? I like to eat these before I go to the gym. They are available in the UK and I'm assuming US as well. They are very tasty but I'm starting to wonder how healthy it is. I usually get fooled by the 'made with wholegrain oats' label.

Protein Powder
I have wondered about the use of protein powder. Does most everyone in here use it? Positive Praise for Poor Eating?
Okay.... so I'm not trying to be offensive in this post.
