Tofu Shirataki Noodles
I heard about Tofu Shirataki Noodles from the Hungry Girl website. I have to admit I was very hesitant because I am not a fan of tofu. But I made teriyaki stir fry with chicken, veggies, and these "noodles" and it was delicious. Tasted like the real thing, but they have only 20 CALORIES PER SERVING!!! I am SUPER excited…

Someone who doesn’t like vegetables
I’m someone who does NOT like vegetables much and has never really eating them since moving out of my parent’s house. My vegetable consumption consisted of corn, potatoes (prepared anyway) and that was about it. I just recently started eating apples again as my source of fruit. I don’t take vitamins or supplements. My…

Alcohol
How do people deal with alcohol? I'm from Aus (don't know if that's relevant but...) and I regularly drink socially, say twice a week? If I'm out for 2 hours I might have 4-6 beers (600-750 calories). If its a longer night, its more. One of the first things I did was make one meal 'alcohol' so I can see the total calories…

Sodium in canned vegetables
I really, really love green beans, so I've been bringing a can with me to work every day and eating the whole can with my lunch (70 cals, 4g protein, 7g fiber!!!). The only problem is, I just realized how high the sodium is (almost 1400 mg). According to my food log, I'm supposed to get around 2500 mg in a day. So having…

Help - Baton Rouge
I went to a work lunch and learn today. The food was provided by the restaurant Baton Rouge. I made healthy choices, primarily filling my plate with a mixed greens salad tiopped with the tip of the spoon with lime ginger salad dressing, and then sampled about 1/4 cup of their long grain white and wild rice with some sort…

My sodium intake is outrageous!
I have never tracked my sodium intake before, so I'm hoping because of the fact that I'm having two servings of ham today, that today might just be an unusually high day as far as sodium goes. I still have a couple hundred calories to eat yet today and my sodium intake is 6,231 mg! Almost 4,000 more than my recommended.…

Normal coffee vs. Decaf Coffee, what's best?
I'm a real love of my coffee, and am making a conscious effort to either drink it black or else have a skimmed cappuccino for a treat. I have never really drank decaf coffee but think I perhaps should start to - on average I drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day. Plus 1 cup of tea. Does caffeine make a difference during weight…

So, I am away from home for a few days for work, and have no choice but to eat at local restaurants for EVERY meal. How do you manage your portion control?
Hi there! I've been logging my food on here for awhile off and on, but never participated on this side. Something I struggle with is portion control when I'm by myself at home. What works for you to make you stop eating out of the dish or stop going into the pantry?

Special K?
Has anyone actually tried the Special K diet? Did it work? Were you able to stick to it daily? I'm curious because I was thinking of trying it but trying to decide if it's actually a good idea. Eating cereal every day might get a lil redundant. Any thoughts, personal experiences would really help. Thanks!

Food goal details? Advice please!
I have a couple questions for anyone that might know: 1. How important is it to meet all components of the daily goals? I'm always really below my carbs goal (but everything else is usually close to met). Will this affect my results? (Also, I'm on 55% carbs, 25% protein, 20%fat...if that matters) 2. Using the manual goal…
