Pickle - zero calories?
Today I had a pre-packaged pickle in a plastic bag from 7-11. It's called Van Holten's dill pickle. Why am I not convinced this was ZERO CALORIES? I mean cucumbers are not zero calories. And what about the vinegar or whatever is used to make pickles into pickles. Then I definitely tasted some saltiness in the pickle. I…

Mortons Baked Potato
I was looking at the Mortons steakhouse and noticed that their "fully loaded baked potato" has 1430 calories. Whoa. Just, whoa. If the potato is 1lb, then that's 350 calories. They somehow found a way to use 1100 calories worth of toppings? If I asked for no toppings, could I just log 350 calories? Thanks.

Under calories...
Ok so I'm only on day five of this but so far every day Ive come in way under calories.. if it's not gonna affect anything then I don't care but I'm afraid that my body will slow my metabolism down to a point I will stop progress soon. For a little context I have a very crazy schedule! I wake up at 3pm to get ready for…

Vitamin question
Probably a silly question but if one is taking a multivitamin is there a need for extra, such as V D or B 12 or Biotin, etc.? I just started taking Centrum Silver; it states 100% of some of the vitamins I've been taking separately; one of them is even 1000%. Sounds like overkill to me? Thanks!

Calorie Info Confusing!!!
Hello! So I’ve been eating these couscous sachets from Twistd for lunch a lot but the nutrition info on the packet doesn’t make sense to me and thought somebody might be able to help! So each packet is 100g dry and it asks for you to add 160ml boiling water. It says that each serving is 130g and that the packet contains 2…

Nutrition & Potassium
I noticed not all my foods are recording the potassium or magneisum levels. I never seem to meet the 3,500 required daily amount and I go over my calories when I try to eat the foods containing potassium. Why is my fitness Pal not recording potassium in foods correctly?

Is Variety the Spice of Life?
I'm the type of person who doesn't mind eating the same breakfast and lunch most days, and having different various meals for dinner. Honestly, I probably wouldn't even mind the same dinner most days, if it was something I really liked. I only mix things up to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients I need, and to keep…

Is there a way to change dietary requirements?
Hello! I need to follow a mix of the GERD low acid diet and the Mediterranean diet. The basic fat, protein, etc levels my dietician wants me to meet each day are a little different than what is automatically tracked in MyFitnessPal. Is there a way to adjust those targets? Thank you. Best wishes

High protein, low carb/fat foods for vegetarians and vegans
I'm having a hard time finding vegetarian/vegan foods that are high in protein without also being high in carbs or fats. I'm trying to do a "recomposition" diet, meaning I want to get about 70 g of daily protein on a 1,300-1,400 cal diet, and I'm not seeing a way to do that without relying too much on protein powders. I'm…

Cheaper alternatives to Nutrisystem?
Hello! I am looking into meal kits that can provide decent easy-to-make (read: microwaveable) meals that I can take to and from work and have a good amount of nutrition in them. One of my family members is a member of Jenny Craig, but they got in when they had a one time-payment for a lifetime membership, so he lucks out…

Custom grams in food
Hi, When scanning barcodes, in particular marinated raw chicken, it shows the wrong grams. It shows as 100g when in fact its 275g. Even if I select two servings, it's still missing 75g. Just wondering is there any suggestions? I have a possible one where there is an option to select 1g and then make the servings 275 but…

Calcium Amount
Hi, I was wondering about the mfp Calcium recommendations. It just says "100" as being the full daily need, but it doesn't say what unit of measure they're using... the RDA is 1000 MG of Calcium I believe but also varies for men vs women, postmenopausal women, etc. Im realizing it might be for "100 percent" but doesnt…

Greek yogurt.... acne?

Leftovers and food safety
There are a number of good resources on how long it is safe to store foods including leftovers. The USDA is the go-to resource in the USA. The USDA is also pretty conservative because they really don't want anyone to get sick. They recommend keeping leftovers no more than three or four days in the refrigerator. Many foods…

Is it alright to go over the macro goal for fat?
Hi all! First of all, please do forgive me if this is a very silly question - I've only been tracking for about a week. I've been paying the most attention to my 'bottom line' of total calories rather than the macros particularly as I get used to the mechanism and the habit of tracking everything I eat. But looking back…
