Best option to remove loose skin?
Hi, I've lost 110 lbs over the past 20 months from 284 down to 174 but there is moderate loose skin, mostly, around my stomach and waist. What is the best option to remove this skin? Surgery or other less invasive procedures like from a dermatologist? Just wondering what would be the next step to take?

Feeling Guilty
Need some advice… 6 months ago I moved my dog and I from Canada to Switzerland to be with my boyfriend of 4 years. After arriving I gained 30lbs in 3 months mostly due to eating unhealthy and huge portions.. I am studying my masters here but for the summer I originally decided not to work (I have a decent enough savings)…

I have had it!
I took a pic with my coworkers on the last day of school. I tried to ditch. I tried to hide behind people. I got in my car and cried driving away. I woke up this morning DETERMINED to loose 30 lbs by the time my pic is taken for the first time in the fall. Off to the treadmill I go! This is my day 1...

Dent in upper part of abdomen question
I noticed a dent at the top of my stomach. Not sure if anyone can see it. I will post a picture prepregnancy at 136 pounds August 2020. I gained 35 pounds my last pregnancy. The one with the pink sports bra is from today 14 months postpartum at 146 pounds. I don't feel any separation anywhere. Just curious if anyone knows…

Benadryl and weight gain
I couldn't find a post related to this so I wanted to share in case it helps anyone else. I gained about 20 pounds over the last 6 months and couldn't figure out why. I moved to a top floor walk up and had to walk an extra 3 blocks every day at work. I was eating way less fast food and cooking at home more. I knew…

I lost 5 lbs. But didnt. What happened?
I have been trying to lose weight for months. I weigh 162 trying to get to my first goal of 150. I eat less than 1400cal. Per day. I have been using 310 shake for lunch. I was so happy when i got on the scale and was 157. Five days later, 162. I am baffled. Never had this before. I have been stuck at 162 for 6 months.

Peri menopausal weight loss
I’ve been working out for the past three months. Calorie count is 1,200 a day. I’ve only lost 6 lbs. I walk 2.5 miles almost every day on a 6 incline on the treadmill. I’ve hit a wall and the scale doesn’t seem to be moving for the past month. Any nutritionists out there that can offer some help to get the scale moving…

Swollen hands….due to increased exercise????
My hands have been swollen this week. My rings are tight and that used to only happen when I ate out due to salt. I have not eaten out (for over a month) and since I do the cooking I know I have been eating low sodium (I watch it closely - read all labels and usually use fresh foods). My blood pressure is within normal…

Very Confused
I have over 100 lbs to lose. I have kept carbs below 50, calories below 1200 (weighing and honestly logging my foods), drinking tons of water and increased my walking (8,000 steps). Yet no weight loss. Oh it has been over a week. Frustrated.

Haven’t lost any weight in the first week
Hi! I’m a 52 year old woman who “weighed in” at 61.2 kg last week when I decided I wanted to lose a few kegs and get a bit more active. This whole week I have kept up with my 10000 (usually a lot more) steps at a brisk walk and kept below my 1200 calories a day… 7 days later and just weighed in at 61.1! Booooo I thought I…

Weightless pals
Does anyone want to be pals in trying to lose weight? I'm just trying to lose 10 - 15 lbs. I've been trying to lose weight for months, but it's not really working out. I think having a friend who could keep me accountable would help. Does anyone want to become pals and ask each other about daily progress?

Is the set-point theory real?
So I'm 23(M), and I have gone through two periods of a calorie deficit using MFP (May/June 2021) and again (May/June 2022). Both times, the first 4-5 weeks I was losing anywhere between 1-2lbs per week, but for both last summer and currently, I stalled in weight loss (according to the scale anyway) at the same range…

Control binge eating?
Let me start by saying I am type 2 diabetic with mitigating circumstances. In 2013 I went in for a routine ERCP to remove a gallstone. The doctor nicked my pancreas, it got infected with C-difficle. It developed into necrotizing pancreatitis. 4 months in the hospital fighting the infection and losing 50% of the function of…

Interesting graph showing energy usage vs time...
Using a metabolic chamber, which is a room where all the carbon dioxide expelled from a person is measured, down to the nearest 5 minutes or so. The author was in the room for just under a day. There are only about 30 of these metabolic chambers around the world, I guess as people get bigger more will be built.…
