Running a program vs just training
I work with a trainer 2x a week. Mostly for aesthetics and to get stronger. We do legs one day and upper body on the other day but he switches it up. So one week we’ll do squats/leg press/pistol squats/single leg TRX squats for leg day. Another week we may do deadlifts. Goblet squats/kettlebell lunges/hip the etc. same…

Weight Gain Group
Anyone interested in tracking weight gain. I started the year at 5’9” 157 with a goal to get to 175. So far I have gained 4.1lbs to 161.1lbs. The biggest change for me has been tracking my calories in addition to lifting weights, I didn’t realize some days I just didn’t eat enough until I started tracking. Height 5’9”…

I travel a bit for work, so that means a lot of creative meal planning. Any tips and tricks from frequent travelers on what works for you? Staying within calories is not super hard, but keeping to macros can be a trick. Do you travel with a food scale? Do you bring protein powder? If so, in what kind of packaging? Any…

Determing RPE
I've started working with a new trainer who uses RPE to determine weights and sets in our workouts. She and I work together one day a week and then I work out two more times more or less on my own. I am just starting out using RPE as a measure and just don't understand how to estimate or calculate it. Today I thought I was…

Weight gain vs muscle
Does weight gain have a direct correlation to strength? I'm currently bulking and I'm wondering if I should be seeing rapid results with the weight I've gained or if it should take awhile to turn the fat into muscle. I'd like to hear others results with weight gain and bulking in correlation to their strength.
