help a girl out :)
I'm hoping to find some like-minded MFP friends  I've lost about 65 pounds and been working MFP for about 2 1/2 years. Over that time I've seen people come and go from my friends list and now I'm starting over. I log daily, I've gained about 7 lbs so I need to refocus on losing a few again and I do like the support…

6 weeks into maintenance...losing fat ( I hope )
I think it's been 6 weeks...I started on july 8..well I re-adjusted my calories, to a whooping 2,190 ,that's the most I've ever eaten in my whole life, it's really hard,but I keep trying,so I used the gym scale,the one I always use, and ... I found I lost 3 lbs. I haven't been taped and pinched ( the calliper thing ) but I…

Graduating from counting calories???
I have hit my first goal and will eventually be hitting my second goal :) but what then? I personally don't see myself counting calories for the rest of my life, but how do I go on living a healthy life without counting calories and without gaining weight? Any ideas out there?

Checking weight
Since I started maintaining I weigh every day which I find fascinating as you can gain one day and lose the next but it usually evens out. Does anybody else do this too?

Maintenance and my story
O.K, Here are my thoughts on maintenance so far. I am within 1 pound of my weight last year, which is about when I reached my goal weight, so I basically have stayed the same this past year. I know a lot of people say maintenance is harder than the actual losing, and I am sure this whole process is different for everyone,…

How long to lose the skinny fat?
I'm at a healthy weight, but still have a good 2 inches of fat to lose yet. I've gone to maintenance and lifting heavy. Has anyone had success with curing the skinny fat and how long did it take you?

Three Pounds to Go!
As of today, I only have three pounds to go to reach my goal weight. As I've neared my goal, my weight loss has slowed to 1/2 to 1 pound per week. I know some say to start adding calories when you're this close, but a huge part of me wants to watch my calories even more closely so that I can "be there" at goal, then start…

I keep losing weight.

How many calories to maintain after a 1200 calorie diet??? 4 ft. 10. girl
Hi friends, I have reached my weight loss goal a few times now, but I struggle with maintaining it. I'm 4 ft. 10 in. and 106 lbs and I struggle going from such a low calorie amount to the recommended 1800-1900 calorie amount. If your body type is like me, short and petite, what was a realistic amount of calories for you to…

Finally Here!
I started on MFP in January 2014. I've had several setbacks where I would gain 5 lb and then realize I was doing and get back on track. That yo-yo led to a year and a half of trying to get the "last 10 pounds" off. I'm sure it was all of my extra running around and activity this summer that has finally allowed me to reach…

amazing program
This is absolutely a perfectly-balanced program. I tried Weightwatchers and gained 1 pound within 7 days, unfortunately. I believe that if you really are counting calories, it works. I applaud everyone committing, because there's not really guarantees. Something about having other users active has helped. I originally lost…

How many calories do YOU eat to maintain around 130 lbs?
I'm not asking what the CALCULAOTRS say you should eat to maintain. I'm talking real life results here. Let me be specific-- If you are a middle aged (45-55) female, weigh in the low 130's with a bodyfat of 25-30% how many calories do you eat to maintain your weight? Please include information about your exercise routine…

for women with endo/PCOS
I just joined up, again. I used MFP mostly to track what I ate a few years ago. That fell by the wayside. When I used MFP in the past, I was slightly overweight and didn't gain. After I stopped using it, I also stopped being conscientious of the food I was putting in my mouth and the weight crept on to where, now, I'm…

Long vacation and international move: how to maintain?
Phew, turbulent times ahead. I'll be going on a 4 week vacation soon (Singapore and Indonesia) and will be moving to the UK afterwards. I'll probably be spending the first 4 weeks in a B&B. I hope I'll be able to maintain my weight. I won't be having a scale for a full period of 9 weeks most likely. Apart from living in a…

Do I need to change my routine?
I know there are a lot of threads about this but I wanted to ask anyway. I think I still wanna loose 5 lbs but I'm pretty over all happy with my weight. I am in the skinny fat stage though. I can fit a size 0 but I do not look very toned and fit I still have quite a bit of body fat. My routine to loose the weight was an…

Maintaince question?
everyone tells me I don't eat enough calories. My goal is set to 1100. I almost always go over that but very rarely over 1500. Because I set it so low i allow myself to eat my calories lost. I run 6-10 miles 4-6 times a week (or a similar machine at the gym but usually run outside)and lift using the 5X5 program 3x a week.…

Hey Everyone! I am sitting at 5'7, 147lbs and I am thinking I am near 25% BF at this time. I have lost 103lbs so far...and I am quite content with how things are going except for the massive amount of fat still sitting on my belly. Now That I Can Eat...Always Hungry
Basically what my title says.... I'm at maintenance, new to it...just started a few days ago, and now that I can eat more I'm always hungry! The sad thing is my maintenance calories aren't much more than my deficit calories since I'm only 5'1" 107ish pounds. (deficit = 1200 maintenance= 1370 per MFP) Anyway...anyone else…

How to stay motivated during the final stretch of weight/fat loss?
Hi all! I have been on my fitness journey on and off for the last 3 years, but over the last 18 months, I have really gotten serious about my nutrition/exercise, and finally hit my goal weight of 180 lbs a few months ago. I've reevaluated my goals and have decided that I could stand to lose another 12-15 lbs to put me in…

Trust the adjusted cal count after hitting goal?
I just hit my goal yesterday (psyched!), and noticed that my allowable cal count went up about 380cals per day. I'm 6'3" tall and lost 1lbs per week over the course of about 3…

Carbs for snacks?
I had a restrictive diet. I was fine, now it's getting old and i have been having a few binging episodes. I've decided to incorporate snacks into my life for my sanity and happiness, plus i workout so i have SOME wiggle room. One serving isn't unhealthy in my opinion, i believe overeating is. SO, for ice creams, how many…
