I have no problem losing it, I have a problem maintaining it!
Where I am from people are not really into exercising or eating well. So I start off really well and then I return back to no working out and eating whatever. Unfortunately I am not as active as my teen days :-( But I ask to you fit people, how do you keep healthy as your lifestyle and how long have you been living this…

Anyone working to rock their body out after the weight loss?
I'm super excited to have lost the weight and seem to have a decent handle on maintaining the loss. But, now, I want to lose body fat and build muscle so that I go from a "nice" body that's really pretty soft to a bikini body that's feminine and strong. This isn't going to be easy because I'm not in my 20's anymore and I…

How to lose body fat, not weight!
For the past month I've been eating 1,500 per day to lose weight. I'm now at 120-121lbs and happy. Though I still have a lot of fat around my middle/legs to lose. According to my scales my BF% is 24/24%, ideally I'd like it to be 18-20%. I've swapped long cardio sessions for HIIT workouts and weight training. But clueless…

Waist Training
Does waist training really help? I'm very happy with my current weight, but my stomach and waist are a disgrace. I've been working on eating better and getting more exercise. I just wondered if anyone has had success with waist training. :)

Lost All This Weight & Losing Self-Control
I'm finally at the "healthy" side of the BMI charts. I look good, feel good, and I'm very proud of what I've accomplished over these past 7 months. Because of my success, I'm starting to lose motivation to keep going & stay within my calorie goal. I keep thinking, "yeah, I lost 40lbs. I can eat a couple brownies," or…

Why doesn't myfitnesspal limit the choices for wright loss goal?
Why does myfitnesspal limit the goal choices for weight loss? I do great job if I aim for losing 1lb per month. Faster weight loss leads me to failure.

Dealing with a weekend of overeating
Hi all, I'm currently maintaining my weight at around 128-129 lbs (I'm 5'8") and trying to recomp lifting 3 times per week. I was at a wedding this weekend and had a LOT to eat and drink. Ballpark estimate of 8000-10000 calories over Saturday and Sunday. My TDEE is around 2400 calories and I ate at pretty much bang on…

Do you think this is a decent idea? Or just plain unnecessary.
I have a 5 pound range that is my true goal to land in and maintain, which is not horribly far off. But I set my MFP goal weight for three pounds less than the low end of that range so that when I start on maintenance if I put on a few pounds of water weight, it sends me into my REAL goal range rather than right back out…

Calories / macros/ maintenanace

When I try and hit calories I'm going over on fat / protein/ carbs/sugar and still under calories by a few hundred. Am I being too strict by what I eat and should I be…

Suggestions for someone thinking about maintaining?
I think I am at the weight I want to be, I just want to gain more muscle and become stronger. After trying to lose for so long, I feel that maintenance is going to be really weird! Any tips? I heard maintaining is more difficult.

Miss the challenge and feeling of accomplishment?
About a year ago I started the 5:2 diet and lost 40 pounds. I hit my goal a few months ago and have been maintaining, but struggling. Will binge for a week, then get back on the diet for a week or two, then binge again. At first I thought it was due to boredom, so I tried new recipes. I tried taking a break from counting…

My BMR
Hi! Hopefully someone knows the answer to this question. I remember that my fitness pal used to show you what they estimated your base metabolic rate to be when you set your activity level. I can't seem to find it anymore. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Self-congratulatory post - successfully maintained through a holiday!
Just come back from 2 weeks away have only put on 1lb, and that may just be water weight - I have small weekly weight fluctuations during maintenance. For the first time I kept up my logging while away. We were in the mountains, hiking every day. I earned 800-1,800 cals per day and ate the lot. So. Much. Food. It…

Help?
Okay so I've changed my goal to maintain. Now up in the corner of my page it now says gained instead of how much I've lost is this right? Also I weigh 126lbs so should I be taking in 126grams of protein? When I set my macros and put my protein to as close as my weight as possible it's leaving me no option but to either…

I'm 6"5 210. About 17% body fat id say and I lift every day. Don't take rest days usually unless absolutely necessary.

Avoiding initial maintaining "gain" with dense foods?
Happy summer everyone, So I know everyone says that in the process of increasing calories and reverse dieting, that one always gains some initial weight. And that they lose it after a week or so, plus more if they haven't been eating their actual tdee. I was wondering if the bloat and gain come just from an increased…

Switching to maintenance calories, weight gain?
I've been on MFP for over a year, and during that time have continually had my calories set to lose 1.5 lbs/week - which worked out to be around 1510 calories/day toward the end. (I'm 5'10", 183 lbs) My end goal was 175, but I'd be fine to maintain around 180. While eating at 1500 calories I stopped losing weight the last…

Why do I see body builders eating less than me?
I am very underweight right now. I lost my brother 6 months ago and lost weight. I am not about 20lbs underweight and have been trying to gain for a few months. I have been eating 1900-2100 a day. (1900 on days I just am not hungry at all) Yes I am using a food scale and I weight and measure everything accurately. I eat…
