very serious question
I am almost afraid to ask this, but I'm hoping the answer isn't as bad as I think. I am 47 yo, have been about 200 pounds for about 15 years. One of the reasons I haven't seriously dieted in that time was that I am truly afraid my skin will hang, or my stomach skin has been stretched so long and I'm older now, that it will…

Inspiring story that hit home
:grumble: I found this story on the Today Show site, as part of the Joy Fit Club : I’ve often joked that “I think I popped out of the womb a size 26/28!” I was a fairly big baby (over 9lbs) and I just seemed to get bigger and bigger as the years went by. I remember back to school shopping — a new year meant a new, larger…

night time is the worst
I stay up about 2 hours longer than anyone in my house because that is the only time that I have for myself, that doesn't include running errands or cleaning. However, when the house is quiet and I am watching Criminal Minds the kitchen cupboards call my name. I don't know if it is boredom or comfort eating but I just…

No loss - Gained!
Would anyone have some words of support for me out there? I kept my caloric intake to 1200 (sometimes more if I exercised a lot, but never less) and exercised (treadmill walking) every day this last week and instead of losing the 2 lbs like the site said i would, i gained 2.5! I'm so frustrated. My water intake is up, from…

how much are you loosing?
Hi everyone, just wondering how much is everyone averaging per week--loss? So far I've only lost 1lb per week. I'm about to start week 3. I can tell that I've toned up some and I'm not as hungry and it seems like that I'm getting my cravings under control and being more aware of what I eat. Is this really the norm 1lb/wk?…
