Journey so far - still a little further go - total loss 191 lbs
Started my journey of transformation March 2017 after realizing I could not go on at a weight of 402 pounds. Started working out, had several sessions with nutritionist and had gastric sleeve in July 2017. I could not be happier at 211 pounds with more to shed. I never thought that I would be here almost a year and a half…

My Weightloss Makes People Angry...& That Makes me Happy! :-D
So I’ve lost a lot of weight and for the most part, people are very happy for me. Those who have not seen me in a long time are shocked by my weight loss. Many who see me ask what I did to lose the weight. I tell them diet & exercise. Some of them look at me like, “Yeah right.” Or “Ok but what else.” In their minds, I’ve…

When you reached your goal weight, did you get a tattoo to celebrate?`
I was pondering this yesterday... when I reach goal, perhaps I should get a tattoo commemorating the hard work, and celebrating my new, improved body. I found some interesting examples online, including one of a tape measure made into a bow. It's not for me, but I thought it was a nice idea. Have you had a tattoo to…

I joined MFP 1-Year ago and have been enjoying the friendship I have received ever since. Finding balance!
Sometimes it’s important to look back at where you started so you can be grateful for where you are now! I have moments where I am hard on myself, doubt the process, & over think EVERYTHING. I am slowly learning things that will make this a lifetime journey for me: •balance is 🔑 •listen to your body •allow yourself treats…

NSV- Waist Trainer
Four months ago, I started on MFP- weight loss has gone incredibly slow. There's been a lot of stress and i think that was a major factor. I purchased a large waist trainer about three months ago for my lower abdomen, hoping that might be helpful for me, but when it arrived I couldn't squeeze my giant butt into it. I was…

How to lose the last 10 lbs.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has had success losing those sticky last 10 lbs. After a year of success, losing 40lbs, I'm stuck on a plateau with 10 to go. I'm exercising frequently and don't indulge in cheat days but the scale hasn't budged in two months. After seeing no results for six weeks I increased calories to…

4yr mfp anniversary, 6 months nike training
Hi! Long time logger, first time poster... I've logged in to myfitnesspal for 1460 days (4years) in a row the other day. Dropped 10 lbs since I started, but in order to do so I decided to gain 90, then lose 100. Ive probably gained and lost the same weight about 4-5 times. I wouldn't recommend that approach. :) The last 6…

My first two piece swimsuit
I promised my 5 year old a couple of weeks ago that we would go to the pool on a hot day. I stopped by Walmart to pick up a swimsuit because I haven't purchased one since before she was born. NOTHING fit me. Even after losing 15lbs in the last 2 months, I couldn't find a swimsuit at Walmart that fit. It was incredibly…

One Year and Good Progress
Yesterday marked day 365 of logging into my fitness pal. I set what I thought would be an easy goal: 20 pounds. No big deal? Well, when food has been a central issue in your entire life, and you once lost close to 100 pounds, the years of weight creeping back up exact a terrible emotional price. I have been on and off…

20lb Difference
I have lost 20lbs. It doesnt seem like that much to me because I have been losing weight very slowly. I keep telling myself slow progress is better than no progress. Because of how slow I have been losing weight I havent noticed that I look that much different. I started this journey to lose weight for my wedding, since I…

Weight loss journey so far - interact
So this is what I have achieved in the last 2 years. Had a setback of gaining a couple of kg in between. My eventual goal is to start going to the…

Being "Transformed" by the renewing of your mind (Focusing) success stories please
Ya know, I've been in this battle for the past few (3+) years and haven't been successful for a multi-tude of reasons and today, I'm seriously thinking about one of the main reasons that I've been totally ignoring and not doing...positive self-talk/soul-talk and focusing. I LOVE to read success stories and many of them…
