My journey so far
This is a photo of me when I was 18. I was around 16st (224lb). I then got a job where I did very little exercise and I ate out of boredom. By 25 years old, I was weighing just over 25st (350lb). A few years ago, I was on here and got down to just under 20st (280lb), but I put it back on and went up to 24st (336lb). In…

Fat legs!!!
Anyone have any leg before and afters? Especially if you had the type of leg that is narrow at the ankle but then gets wider and wider all way up, with no dip at the knees? No knees :( I’ve been told my legs will look the same even if I lose, and that just crushes my soul. I have to have hope! Please share your leg success!

So proud of myself I could shout from the rooftops! C25K Week 5 Day 3 done. This day was daunting to me since it was a 20 minute run but I did it! I’ll be a runner yet.

I currently am 192 and wearing a 10 in pants. My original goal was 60 pounds but I think I will go for 75. I have a hereditary kidney disease that…

A Loooong Time Coming!!!!
Well my friends it has been a very long time since posting much of anything here on MFP. I started out 6 years ago joining this sight and weighing in at almost 300 lbs. I dropped almost 100 lbs just to find 40 back again in less then a couple of years. Thank the Lord I didn't put everything back on and then some but it has…

Start weight 422.6 lbs, today's weight 329.02 lbs
Well I've come along way since 2011, have more to go but happy that I've kept it off and hoping to hit the century mark by the end of the month. I've recently enrolled in a Kaiser Bariatric program class but I'm not doing the surgery, I just feel the knowledge I'm receiving will help me continue my journey. The picture…

88 pounds in 8 months!
Let me just start this off by saying. I have dreamed about the day I could post my own success story. I never thought it would happen. I’ve tried and tried to diet for years. Since I was about 14 and I am now about to be 21. I always failed. This year I was tired of being overweight and tired of feeling so insecure. So I…

43 lbs and counting lost, life gained
I'm approaching my one year anniversary of starting with one work out to save my mental health. At 31, I was at my highest ever weight of 219 pounds, starting to experience aches and pains exclusively due to my weight, and was a mess of anxiety. I knew I couldn't live like that. I've been slow and steady on this journey,…

From 18.8 stone to 13.6 stone
Recovering alcoholic. 10 years of abuse through drinking. Been a long road back to any sort of fitness again. Weighed in at 15.6 stone 3 months ago but was still very flabby and felt out of breath after a dad's Vs kids match at my son's football presentation. Decided enough was enough. Feeling much happier and healthier…

A year down the line - how'd that happen?!
Hello MFP! Saturday the 28th of June marked my one year anniversary of a complete lifestyle change. 14th August will mark my 365 day streak on MFP. I wrote a thread here on the forums in February when I had reached my halfway goal. It details the first part of my journey & what life was like "before" should anyone be…

Heart attack changed my life
In August I had a heart attack due to 99% blockage that resulted in two stents. My cardio rehab started on August 12 and my weight was 293.5 lbs. I changed my lifestyle the day after surgery. No land animals, dairy, sweets, bread or anything with saturated fat. I also watched my sodium intake closely. I am what is called a…

Working my butt off... and back on again
I'm doing this sort of as a motivator, but also because I love seeing the posts where people have updated over the months and years of their weight loss. Also a little tl;dr for the poor souls who don't want to read my -probably tmi- story: Started out cause I was annoyed at my non-ability to hike ALL the mountains;…

A bit unorthodox but it’s working for me
Firstly- I’m not recommending this but 2 things that I do (that people say you should not, and should do are below). So far I have lost about 15-16 lbs in he past 6-7 weeks or so doing it this way. 1) I weight myself daily every morning. I wrote down my weight and what time I weighed myself. If I have a weight fluctuation…
