So according to my fitness tracker, I'm supposed to eat like 450 grams of carbs a day and under 200 protein and fats. This seems kinda off to me. Is that right. At 370 goal 250

Is it really CICO? Calories in, calories out?
Is any “diet” succesful soley based on cico? Whether low carb, keto, weight watchers, low fat, etc? Are all calories equal then? As long as you eat below your number allowed, you will lose weight? Trying to get all my facts before I decided myfitness pal Or Atkins? Thank you in advance!

Small changes, happy days
As of today I have lost 17.5 kg (38 pounds) - that's about a quarter of what I have to lose. And my wedding ring fits again, I also nearly lost my swimming pants in the gym swimming pool today. I also fit onto 5 of the 15 gym circuit machines - getting there slowly.

85 lbs down! Pictures for days :)
My highest weight was 225lbs. I currently weigh 140lbs. I am 5’2 and hold most of my weight in my stomach. The struggle is so real! I lift heavy weights, currently I’m doing no cardio because I hate it but may start implementing it soon to get this last 10-15 lbs off haha. I eat a Whole Foods plant based vegan diet. I…

My very first Before & After pics!
I was eagerly awaiting the day I could see enough of a difference to do this! From May to July I'm down 18lbs and this is incredible motivation to keep at it! I went gluten free 60 days ago and I eat mostly paleo (like 90%).

And what a year it's been...
One year on MFP! 42 pounds and 3 sizes lost! Not as fast as a lot of folks here but I’m about halfway to goal and delighted with my progress. Key points for me have been: 1. Log everything—even when I go over. Keeping track helps contain binging and sometimes give me insights on the “why”. It's best to weigh everything but…

How does MFP compare to Weight Watchers?
I have been trying WW for a while now and while it works OK I have been wanting to try MFP also. How do they compare for Weight Loss? I want to lose about 70lbs overall. I have created my profile and all is setup but looking to hear any success stories. Does it work?

No gimmicks-105 pounds lost using CICO
I wrote this in October of 2016: If anyone would have suggested running or even walking a 10K one year ago I would have laughed. I was old (57) and morbidly obese with bad knees and a bad back. There was no way! Fast forward to today. I am over 100 pounds down with a normal bmi and my first 10K will be in December. I'm…

Time to share
I hate photos so have been avoiding doing this for a few months now but think it's probably time to share, if my story can encourage anyone then it'll be worth it. My lifestyle change began on January 1st 2017, my 39th birthday. I suddenly realised I would be 40 come my next birthday. I was a heavy smoker, overweight,…

Booty!!
I was annoyed at check in today because despite being 16 pounds lighter, my pants size is the same. So I checked measurements. Everything the same or down EXCEPT hips (booty included). I have never had much of a booty, so I have been doing exercises for a bigger booty. I thought it was a hopeless cause, but the numbers say…

One Year Ago I Joined
Hello friends.. well, it has been one full year shockingly since I began logging my food and following the CICO protocols. I am not down as much as I anticipated but still happy with what I have lost. I have slowed down and remained at around 234 for months now. I'm beginning to think it is my medication holding me back.…

Today is my 1 yr ketoversary. It's been an amazing journey so far, and I'm quite pleased with my success. I'm officially down 100 lbs exactly! I honestly thought 100 lbs was such a pie in the sky ideal that I'd never make it, and yet here I am. And I'm still going strong! I've been overweight and obese for almost my entire…

6 month anniversary with Daily Burn
Ever since joining Daily Burn in February I exercise about 5 times per week +/-. I log my food everyday no matter how sucky I ate, and I stick with what Fitbit tells me as far as if I ate under or over. Usually it's over, but I'm mindfully trying to change that and eat in the green zone (or just-right zone). I don't really…

The support thread: who has supported you in your efforts?

He always makes whatever I want. It helps that he loves to cook  - my wonderful teen daughter, who, along with my partner, helps to weight my foods…

Over the course of my first year, my BMI has gone from 55.4 to 31.5. --Background-- I am an empty nester and spend most of my time at home alone with my dog, 2 cats and a flock of chickens.…
