obese to fit mom
I’ve battled with my weight since I was 12yo, I have lost 115lbs through vsg and a low carb clean eating diet. I’m now a certified health coach and soon to be certified in personal training. This journey has given me a new life and I have found a new passion and love for fitness and food and hope to reach out and…

I finally stepped into Onederland too!
I'm finally here! I started at 263, so I still have a ways to go...but I hit my first major milestone! I am disabled with Cerebral Palsy, it's a somewhat mild case, but that added a bit to the challenge of losing. It was as simple (and as awkward and unsettling) as just CICO and portion control. I added in hand weights 2…

"Apple" Shaped Women - Before & Afters?
Hey Ladies, I've always had the curse of the "apple" shape body type, or rather, my weight tends to stick more around my stomach and torso than anywhere else. Never quite understood why we had to name our bodies after fruit, but I digress. I'd really love to see your before & afters if you had a similar body type! I need…

90 lbs down!
Hey everyone! First time posting, but I've been following MFP for the last 4 years. I finally hit my 90 lb weight loss goal! I may or may not lose about 10 more (a 100 lb loss sounds AMAZING... but I really like where I'm at). Anyway... it's been mostly slow-going, but maybe this will encourage my fellow slow-losers to…

Celebrating 6 months of hard work!
Started in mid December at 206 lbs, current weight 166. Waist started out at 37 inches, is now at 31-32 inches. Pants size was 16-18, now a 10! Feeling good! I have another 6 months of planned loosing, or until I reach a size that I am comfortable with, then onto building muscle! WHOOOHOOO

Need Advice-please help!!
Hi! I am new to MFP, I’ve been on it for about 3 weeks and have only lost 2 pounds so far. I’m 5’7 and weigh 151, I excercise everyday running 3 miles or walking 3 miles eating 1200-1400 cals a day. I’m curious to know if progress on MFP is very slow going when it comes to losing the weight?

Lost 40 pounds and 38 of it was hair.
195 ??? I am a Union iron worker and after getting injured 3 times, I almost quit going to the gym something I've been doing for the last 13 years. I was walking in the park and realized I was too attacted the weights and numbers on the bar rather than my health. I found a program in which I did not have too squat, bench…

18 months in. Still going. Sometimes slow and steady is best
I lost 20kg in just under a year. Jan to Nov 17. Since November I've lost about 4kg. So mostly a plateau on and off for the last 6 months. I've had a lot going in, had a car accident which caused a shoulder injury meaning I couldn't work out as much and my eating was up and down. But I never gained the weight. I'm now…

Story and 90 days later (with pics)
I grew up playing multiple sports through high school and played soccer through university. I was in peak fitness as I graduated in 2009. Fast-forward 9 years, wife and three kids later to March 2018 and I caught a glimpse of myself in a video that shocked me. Starting that day I started tracking calories, eating foods for…

Lost 130 pounds in 9 months AND am no longer obese! (pics)
Since late September of 2014, I have dedicated myself to eating better. Working out. And just changing my life in general. This morning for the first time in my adult life, I can say "I am not obese". I have dropped 134 pounds since September and have gone from a 45 BMI to a 28.2. Most importantly, I feel better and I can…

62 POUNDS DOWN
HEY GUYS I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF. IT HASNT BEEN EASY OR FUN, WHO DONT LIKE EATING ALL THAT JUNK. BUT TRUEFULLY ITS NOT GOOD FOR YOU AND AS I CHANGE THE WAY I LOOK AT FOOD , IT MAKE ME FEEL SAD THAT I HAVE ALLOWED MYSELF TO ALLOW SOMETHING THAT HAS NO VALUE CONTROL ME AND EFFECT THE QUILITY OF MY LIFE THIS WAY.

Those who 'only' had up to 25 lbs to lose - please share your successes!
Looking to collect some success stories from those who weren't too terribly far from their goal, probably were considered "healthy" and relatively fit, but had to work hard to get rid of the extra. While longer journeys are amazing, I'd like to keep this thread to those who only had ~25 pounds to lose to begin with. Please…

Losing weight
Does anyone lose weight on 1400 calories

1lb lost but body comp changed
Only 1lb difference between these, but I’ve been doing an exercise class a week, plus working on my feet, and just generally being more active. I think it has made a difference. I’m upping my exercise to three sessions a week now so hopefully I’ll improve even further, even if there’s still minimal weight loss!

I got "InBodied"
My gym now has an InBody machine so I took the free opportunity to see if my BF changed from 16%. It did! I am now 14%. The super cool thing is that I am not specifically trying to lose BF. I am at maintenance and learning how to listen to my body, finally! Thanks MPF and all of you.

I just got in the BMI normal range!
Little over a month ago, I decided it was time for me to lose some extra weight. I didn't want to go on any specific diet so I just ate smaller portions of what I would normally have. I did do a little more effort not eating as much calorie-dense foods such as fast food or sugary drinks or beer etc AND I started running…

ONEDERLAND AND SO PROUD!
Hello everyone I am having a very proud moment in my journey. I have been working hard since having my 4 children to get healthy. I weighed 360 pounds and now today I weigh 199.4. All the hard work and dedication has paid off. I never imagined I'd be that girl who would be in onederland. Today I am the girl I created…

Thank you for helping me find a healthier relationship to food and lose 25 pounds
I wanted to check back in with my good blood work, four months after a pre-diabetes wake-up call, and to say what a life-changing moment it was to find the sane voices here who helped me to see how judging individual foods as bad/healthy or sinful/virtuous was deeply damaging my ability to eat mindfully and listen to my…

Why did I not start sooner?
Hi everyone, I have just returned to MFP after having a beautiful baby daughter on 29th April. I piled on over 2 stone during pregnancy and was incredibly unhealthy. Since giving birth I hated the way I looked and so decided it’s now or never! In the last month I got into the swing of eating properly and joined MFP now…

100 lbs down
I was overweight since childhood. One day I woke up and decided to make a change. I started tracking with MFP and running and 2.5 years later I am down 100 lbs. it’s been a roller coaster but I just pushed forward. Lots of sweat, tears and determination has gotten me this far. I am 10 lbs from my goal weight. Feel free to…
