I've been waiting a long time to post this! I actually started at 212.6 and I am now at 160 but I thought the 203 picture here looked worse! :) It's taken a lot of hard work but it is so worth it!! Feel free to add me as a friend if you want any support. I am now planning on losing 5 more pounds and continuing to tone up!

An over forty first NSV
Society states that once you reach the age of forty it's very hard to lose weight. Well, for me that's seems to be right. I've been on this site since February and I've lost eight pounds (to me this is AWESOME!) but yesterday I had my first NSV. I went shopping yesterday to buy an outfit for a Jazz concert for next week…

Odd NSV
Kind of an odd NSV - I exercised alot today, little more than I intended. So I'm supposed to eat about 2800 calories in order to net 1200. After planning my food for the day, I'm only at net 314. Now I know I have to eat more and I will (I do believe in eating my exercise calories), but previously I would have been - ugh I…

1/4 goal!
What started my weight loss last fall, was ending up in the ER for a knee injury. . .I was at a dog show, showing my giant goofball boy and my knee went crack and I couldn't go another step. I was under the impression I had to exercise in order to lose weight, until I was pointed to this website at the end of the year. ..…

I posted a thread a while back (about 3 weeks ago) of my progress....well I've been working harder at my goal, and I'm pretty happy with the results I've been getting. I still have 10 more lbs to go....I still need to lose more body fat on my stomach, legs and butt....but so far so good. Again just to remind everyone, I'm…

NSV for me
I tried an old dress from college (almost 8 years ago) and it fits and even looks like it could be too big!! Then I went to Kohls to get some cute summer clothes for our Jamaica trip on Monday. I usually shop in the womens section but I decided to try the Juniors and I bought 8 cute sleeveless shirts in size MEDIUM. I was…

running away from those saggy pecs
I'm one of those unfortunate males who, when out of shape, tends to hold a lot of my extra pounds in my chest. About 10 months ago, my family was on vacation in Pigeon Forge, TN which has the famous Splash Country as part of Dollywood. I was going around shirtless like almost all the other males there when my young son…

NSV old/new suit.
My daughter's preschool class is having a DIVA party for their mothers day Breakfast later this week. We have been requested by the teacher to dress up so I was looking thru my new casual clothes that I just recently bought in smaller sizes to see if I could "dress" something up. Anyway i saw this suit in the back of the…

NSV - eating stabilised, and not stupid
I joined MFP because I realised my diet had gone from a sensible one to a really incredibly stupid, harmful one. Unfortunately - at least for the sake of this graph - I'd already stopped the worst of my behaviour (negative net calories!) by the time I'd joined, so you can't see just how bad things were. But here you see…

80 days in a row...

My nsv is running in shorts!! So I took my kids out for a walk the other night and once I started walking I decided I was in the mood for a run, half way through my run I realized that I was running in shorts! My NSV
I have been here for 2 months and lost *only* 7 pounds. However, that is 7 pounds less than when I started and that is 7 pounds I won't be carrying with me to the beach this summer. It is a healthy pace. My first NSV is how much better my clothes fit and I have even gone down a size already. I am not carrying around near…

Happy Friday!! I thought it would be nice to start a thread about this week's NSV's - what victory did you have this week that is helping to lead you to a healthier, happier tomorrow? Also, share your thoughts or how you came to that NSV - together we can inspire and encourage others to have these NSV's because eventually…

Silly one
My cat was getting pretty chubby. I think I might have been feeding her kitten food too long. She was a rescue cat,so we weren't sure of her actual age. Anyways about 2 weeks ago I switched her to adult food which is less calorie dense then the kitten food (yes I checked the nutritional label/caloric content of my cats…

63 pounds down!
I am thrilled to say that for the first time in a VERY long time, A standard household scale now shows a number when I stand on it! That's 63 pounds gone!!!! I am down 8 inches in jeans, and a couple sizes in shirts. I am more dedicated now than ever to the program. Now that I can see real numbers on the scale in addition…

1/4 of the way to Goal :)
I am enjoying my journey on MFP and celebrating many NSV's. More energy, more strength, better posture, and gaining new levels of fitness. I'm fitting into clothes that were too tight before, blowdrying my hair standing up instead of sitting down (I know.... sounds silly.... but drying my hair use to be a chore).....…
