How much muscle might you lose in 3 months of not lifting
I suffered a bad back sprain in June and haven't been able to lift weights or run since then. I did go on a diet to keep from gaining weight. I am losing pounds but I don't know if it's fat or muscle. So my question is - how many pounds of muscle is an average 28 year old male likely to lose in 3 months?

Low cardio day?
I heard someone mention it once and I am curious. I normally walk either pushing the stroller or on my own. I live in the country and if I walk alone I can burn 50+ calories just by walking to the neighbors house. Today I went with the kids and it took me 3x's longer to get the 50 calories in. I walked about 4 miles today…

HRM Users
I'm curious to know how much your HRM says you burn for your exercise. I just bought a polar HRM and I like it but it says I'm buring LOTS of calories. For instance, I ran 1 mile, biked 3 miles, and then ran another mile. It took me 45 minutes and my HRM say I burned 550 calories, my average hear rate was 168 and my max…

Do you enter everything you do
On the exercise? Or do you leave out some stuff? I'm asking b/c I noticed that I could add cleaning on there but then my moderate cleaning might be really light. So I left it off, I know anything I do burns calories but I figured atleast for me the less I enter in to see the more I'm able to eat, the better my weight loss…

SBF2 Reboot Boogaloo, Sept 6th
Happy Labor (Labour) Day! It's good to be home. I had two people call me yesterday, checking to see if I was ok. I had to lie to them both - well, I had to tell them I wasn't up to going back to the retreat - which is true. I have alot more energy here. My plan today is to work in the yard (finally), get a walk in, and do…

core workouts that don't require much ab work
Okay, so I'm still only 6 wks post op, so I'm not supposed to do ab work. However, I tried some ballet dancing, which was uncomfortable but not painful. I'd like to do some core work to strengthen the ab area as everything heals, but obviously can't do crunches, etc. Would something like planks work for someone like me, or…

So a few days ago I bought a pair of good running shoes from a store that caters to runners in particular. (How cool it was to go in there and not feel out of place!)
