Does the count for excersice?
I am new at this. I just left Target and walking around there pushing a heavy shopping car for about an hour. I feel like I may have burned a little something. So my question is...can I count this as a cardio work out? I know it was a lesuierly walking pace...but doing that for an hour should count for something right?

Spinning vs Recumbent Bike
Well there isn't really such thing as a Recumbent Bike "class" I don't think - but back injuries are definitely BAD. That is what kept me away from exercise for a week. My physical therapist said that people with back injuries should use the recumbent bike because it not only puts you in a more ergonomic posture, but it…

Bragging...a little
Ok, when I first started working out hard in September, I took a class at the gym that used these evil little gliders that you stand on. The teacher had us do mountain climbers on them, but I couldn't. I tried to even do them 1/2 time, but I couldn't get my butt down like everyone else and I felt like a moron. I haven't…

Learn to Love A.M. Exercise
(Even if You're NOT A Morning Person) -- By Rebecca Pratt, Staff Writer (sparkpeople.com) I am not a morning person. This confession will come as no surprise to my friends and family, most of whom have spent many glorious years making merry over my tendency to nod off over breakfast, my need for copious amounts of coffee…

I know the first couple days will be hard but I have to stay focused and motivated. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to make…

Exercise is the best stress reliever!!
Does anyone else agree? I've been nothing but stressed the last few weeks and exercise has been my only hold on sanity. I feel so exhilerated afterward and so proud of myself. I just try to focus on going longer and faster.

Ab Lounge
Hi Everyone! I was wondering if anyone has an Ab Lounge and if they have had any luck with it.. you see sometime ago I fell asleep in a lazy boy and woke up with a very sore stomach, as if I had done a million crunches! At that time I thought I had invented the theory of the Ab Lounge, but found only months later that it…

Exercise and burning calories question.
If I rollerblade for 30 minutes and burn x number of calories, is this all the calorie-burning benefits I get from the exercise? Or does the exercise also boost my metabolism for a while which in turn increases the number of calories I burn that day in addition the the initial x calories burned while rollerblading?

I need some help and advice...please!!!!
I am having a hard time trying to get into the routine of watching what I eat and exercising regularly. I watch what I eat and still end up way over my 1200 calories per day. I run on an eliptical once a day, but I get so winded and wore out so quickly, I am only burning about 115 calories a day. I am a Mt. Dew addict, and…

This site is my inspiration
I never thought it would work for me, but I have to say, tracking my food and exercise is making me keep doing it. I have said I would work out before, always started and quit within a week or two because I had no motivation and/or medium to measure results. But after a month on here, I can truthfully say I think I will be…

Exercise Calories
For those of you that are doing LOTS of exercise, are you eating all of the calories you earn from it? I am struggling with that as I have to work to eat the calories I earn from my 30 minute bike rides. Some nights I could fit in more exercise but I don't know how I'd eat the calories I earn without resorting to junk just…

Exercise Time
Just wondering... Does it matter what time of day you exercise? Like, am I more likely to lose more weight if I work out in the morning? or the evening? Or does it not matter, just as long as you work out? Any thoughts, even if it's just from experience is appreciated! Thanks =)

What are some of your favorite songs to dance to?
I notice some of you are using dance as a workout. I love that, too, but I have not as yet put it into play. I am kind of waiting for our Northern Thailand winter to set in, when I may not feel like getting into a swimming pool after a 50 degree night. (BRRRR) Any way...some great tunes I have danced to in the past: Play…

The Firm
Has anyone tried "The Firm" workout? It looks like it has cardio and strength training and switches it up so you are not doing the same thing every day. But, I don't want to buy something else that just goes in the drawere. I have been doing a boot camp for a month but need something to keep me going after the month is up?
