Mercury in Tuna
So I eat around 40 oz of tuna a week, usually straight from packets or in tuna products. My friend suggested I figure out how much is safe because of the mercury so I googled a calculator and it came out with a safe amount around 24.6 oz a week. Anyone ever meet anyone who has mercury poisoning from fish or have any…

Sugars
Seems like my MPF goal of 24 grams of sugars for my 1,200 calorie diet is too low. I can't seem to keep them under the target if I even just have a fruit and a small yogurt. I thought the recommended daily limit is closer to 65 grams. Does anyone know?

Bad taste in my mouth and more
I occasionally get a bad taste in my mouth and a coated tongue, along with (sometimes) a funny smelling urine (not the same smell as asparagus pee but sweeter). I already looked up my symptoms and they suggest diabetes but I don't pee more often than normal (I actually can go forever) without having to pee, nor am I…

it's a paleo question: to be or not to be
So, I tried the primal route for a while, probably like. a year or so. I didn't see the results that everyone else seems to have. I actually felt like I was gaining weight. And, I went through a period where I had increased energy. I really followed what rob Wolff, mark sisson, and the paleoista said. I wonder whether or…

question on protien .will too much actually gain weight
Hello, and thanks. Here is my dilema. I had recently gained about 40 lbs over 3 years. I was an avid gym member for 10 years who suffered hernia and broken hand and tear in rotator cuff. These setbacks have kept me away from the gym for 3 years where i had put on the weight, beside bad eating habits and workiing midnights,…

Protein Powder?
So I've been vegan for a little over a year now, and I absolutely love it! But now I'm trying to get my weight under control and build muscle, and I'm realizing that I'm not getting enough protein in. I stay away from soy (not because of all the hype that surrounds it), but because it aggravates the ovarian cysts I get…

Am I doing this right?
Okay so my TDEE is 2261 with moderate exercise 3-5 days a week, so 2261 times 7 days a week would be 15,827 so if I eat 1850 calories a day 7 days a week that totals to 12,950 calories making my caloric deficit 2,877 a week. Thus if I burn 1,000 calories a week exercising then my deficit for the week will be 3,877 which…

Feed Me, Seymour!
I need help eating! I'm not eating anywhere near enough calories. MFP is giving me 1800 base, plus anything I "earn" by exercising. I'm barely eating 1000-1200. I'm SUPER busy this month with not a whole lot of time to cook or eat. My days (for the last week or so) look like this: a protein bar or shake for breakfast, a…

Why Insects Should Be in Your Diet
I think its time to end the battle between meat eaters and non-meat eaters and unite as one entomolivore (yes I made that term up) society! http://www.the-scientist.com/?articles.view/articleNo/34172/title/Why-Insects-Should-Be-in-Your-Diet/

I'm always hungry-please help!!
I have been excercising consistenly for about a month and counting calories. I am not sure how to change this. I was noticing that my pal told me i had eaten 4 g of transfat. I looked to see what i ate bad. It said the brown rice. I doubled checked the bag of rice thinking that was odd. It must have been keyed in wrong because there is not any transfat in the rice. HOW CAN this be fixed???

drinking juice for extra calories
I generally avoid sugared drinks (especially soft drinks). But what about 100% fruit juice? It's high in sugar (but it's natural) right? So I can consider it a healthy drink? I know it's high in calorie -- but I am having a hard time meeting my minimum number of calories for the day. So, I decided to drink a glass or two…
