My Larry aka my metabolism (you don't name yours?) has efficiently caught up to my eating a workout regimen....you dastardly dog you. So I shall trick him again.…

Egg Beaters question
I have a reaction to eggs when I eat them as scrambled or alone. They give me a bad tummy ache. I can eat eggs as ingredients in other foods and not have a reaction. I miss scrambled eggs though. Does anyone know if egg beaters would cause me the same reaction? I have also been told, most likely it is the yolk that is…

Diary is Open - Please look at Today's Lunch
Because I'm just worried it might not be healthy enough. I just wanted to ask you all, does that lunch in my diary really look so bad? I would like you to look at it. I now keep having this feeling that the food I am eating is bad for me. I no longer love eating as much as I did, in fear that I'm eating the wrong foods. I…

cereals!
hey! I was wondering what your opinions were on these cereals: -multigrain cheerios -Vector -Post Shreddies (also Quaker instant oatmeals) we usually have one of these cereals in the house, and most of the time I need a quick breakfast. Was just wondering if theyre actually as healthy as they claim, or if they're hidden…

I don't crave it unless I eat it. You?
I noticed that I don't crave junk food (or most "junk" food) unless I eat it. It seems the longer I go without it, the easier I can avoid it. I still like donuts, because I like the cake part for a nice breakfast with some juice. :drinker: I don't crave chips as much as I used to and when I eat them it nearly makes me…

Ice tea
I'm a fan of soft drinks, milk drinks and a number of other bad types of drink. So I was wondering is ice tea a good alternative? If not, what are some good alternatives?

Spicy Chinese Noodle confusion
I bought one of those instant ramen noodle things (yes, I know, shut up). However, the nutritional label is very confusing. The container lists nutritional information for "per 100gr" and "prepared meal." The container is 70 grams, yet the "prepared meal" listing contains several times more of every nutrient than the "per…

Never eat Spinach with Tofu?
Today while I was eating out, my family told me that I shouldn't mix those two together. Personally I don't believe that but they are insist on this. I have google it and only found a few sites on this subject. It is a myth, right?

Healthy Side Dish Suggestions

The truth about WATER
I know that it's important to stay hydrated for overall health, especially if you sweat a lot (which I do). But I feel like I don't really fully understand the benefits and how they can pertain to weight loss...I've heard people say that they 'feel better' when they drink more water and that it helps flush out your system…

Scariest "Healthy" Food
What food did you think was healthy but then were shocked by the sugar or sodium? Did you find a healthier alternative to the healthy item? What was it? For me, it would be some low calorie smoothies i used to drink. Low calories but totally loaded with sugar. Now I make my own so I can sweeten it with a tad of honey.

Clean & Lean - James Duigan - ??
I've been having a read of reviews online aswell as what it involves, and so far it sounds like something I'd like to try. Upset tummies / Food allergies
I've noted as of late I seem to be having food allergies that I don't know about until they are upon "exit status"..... Seriously, my stomach "issues" are randomly every four days or so. Quinoa... not as high in protein as i thought
Okay, so from what i've read on MFP lately, what i'll call the "Quinoa Craze" has died down a bit... I had tried it a while back, on it's own, and didn't like it. Tonight I decided to give it another shot, and put it in a stir fry with chicken, broccoli, mushrooms and a little teriyaki sauce. And I thought, awesome I need…

The 3500 calorie equation must be flawed.
I'm convinced it must be much more complicated than "create a deficit of 500c a day and lose a pound a week". The reason I say this is because I've seen far too many people on this forum doing just that and losing nothing sometimes, & I've seen people doing that & losing multiple pounds at a time. There's gotta be other…

5 HTP, Fibromyalgia and Depression
Okay, about after a year of being in horrible pain, 3 doctors, 2 MRI's, an ultrasound, 8 viles of blood and 6 x rays later, it is looking like I have fibromyalgia. Concept: Egg Roll; Baked — Or Sans Wrapper?
Dinner tonight was my first attempt at baking egg rolls (lightly coated with cooking spray, cooked 12-15 min. in a 400° F oven, turned once). The results were underwhelming, the exterior pale, thick, jerky tough in some spots, doughy in others, and the filling dried out during the baking process. Any tips for a successful…
