Frustrated with lack of results
I started working out mid-May and have continued a 6-day/per week schedule since. I alternate daily between 25-minuteof of walk/run intervals on the treadmill and a 30-minute boxing video. On treadmill days I also do pushups and core work. I feel much healthier and see a small change in how my clothes feel HOWEVER I have…

Don't forget your mental health
Friends, I have been struggling. I've dealt with depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember. Usually, the darkest times are fairly short-lived and I'm cognizant enough to know that things will eventually turn around. Unfortunately, for the past several months I have been sinking deeper into the depths of my own…

Calculating calories burned during exercise
For treadmill or cycling on a smart trainer, do you just go with the calories burn the machine says or do you use a different method to calculate calories burned or do you just let your activity tracker calculate it? Obviously there are discrepancies, but trying to figure out which one is more accurate.

Help with Apple watch synced to MFP through Pacer app - giving me too many calories
Hi everyone, I recently started syncing my Apple watch to MFP. At first it was only taking my steps from my watch, not total calorie burn, so it was only adding a few calories (example, a day with 10k steps only gave me 40 calories even though I am set to sedentary). I searched the forums and found this is a common…

Keto advice / food plan - short term
My Dr has strongly recommended I try the keto diet plan for health reasons. He has suggested I do so for 4 weeks. Does anyone have a straight forward, every day food plan I could follow. I find coming up with keto friendly meals quite difficult so I'd like a cheat sheet 😅

Suggestions for SALT alternative?
Everything always tastes bland to me - we eat a lot of salt and pepper in our house. I don't want to making me retain water plus too much sodium just isn't good for you. What are some good alternatives to keep on the kitchen table or at work for adding similar flavor to food of salt (but without the salt)?

Water weight/Fasting question
This may be an extremely dumb question, and if so I apologize. I've been doing some different, a bit more intense workouts the past few days (quite fun) and since late Sunday evening I've dropped just shy of 14 pounds. I can safely assume this is in all likelihood water weight, correct? It's coming off quite easily and I…

Food Scale Recommendations?
Apparently, I killed my food scale around 3 a.m. yesterday morning (death by Lysol). Note to self: do not attempt to cure insomnia by housecleaning. I loved my Perfect Portions scale and am having separation anxiety. That said, before I order a new one, what scales are you using and how do you like them?

How long was it before you recovered and/or how long before you could do your normal exercise routine again? My left foot started having pain last Friday and got exponentially worse over the weekend. Daily protein intake
Hi! I was wondering how protein fits in a diet. I’m at ~1800-1900 calories a day in order to be at a deficit. My question is: since I’m supposed to eat around 160g of protein a day (80kg x 2g per kg) and only a small amount goes to muscle growth. What happens to the rest ? Does it still count as calories ingested or does…

Apple Watch Monthly Activity Badge - What is your goal?
I’m fascinated by Apple’s customized monthly activity goals and how they change over time. My goal for June (first full month with the watch) was to meet my daily stand goal 15 times, July was 940 minutes of exercise, August was to walk/run 150 miles and last month it was to get 2,000 minutes of exercise. My October goal…
