Best HRM to track calories burned?
Hi Everyone, I am sure that anyone who has been a MFP for a period of time has seen/answered this question but I am just into my second week. Awhile back I purchased a bow flex HRM from Beachbody and was very disappointed. It tracks your heart rate, but not calories burned. I am looking for a high quality HRM to help track…

I'm back again
I'm back again. This is about my 3rd year using MFP. I've always struggled with my weight. Been going to the gym on and off for the past 6 years. Got really serious at the gym and healthy eating about 2 years ago, managed to lose 15kg then xmas holidays came and I let myself have a break. That turned into a 8 month break.…

Having trouble logging... too many food options!
I'm trying to log my food and was wondering how you all decide on which item to pick when searching for food. For instance say I am searching for chicken breast, there are so many options! How do I know what to choose? Is there a main listing for, say, raw chicken breast, no skin? I'm seeing tons of MFP member added foods…

I have read everywhere and I keep getting different answers. My goal is to lose 2.5 pounds a week. I was to lose 25 by August. I am on a…

Needing friends to help motivate me.

Net Calories/Exercise
OK, I've been using MFP for 1 month. I'm 5`2` 195 & my goal is 130. In 1mo I've lost 9lbs. My goal is 1200 calories daily & I've been exercising 6 out of 7 days. Thing is I'm not quite sure how net calories works. Some say you must eat back the calories you earn thru exercise & then some say its optional. I'm typically…

Dietary Percentages and Calories
So I have heard from a lot of people that the goals that are set on here aren't necessarily right. I just signed up for MFP and it put me at 50% carbs, 20% protein, and 30% fat. Call me crazy but that just doesn't sound right. Plus it put me at 1200 calories, and I know that if you go under 1200 calories a day it puts your…

things to do that worked/helped
My husband and I have lost a lot of weight. People often ask how we did it. We did it by talking to our doctor, hard work, counting calories, exercising, making better decisions and plain old common sense. We did get some help at first by prescription weight loss drugs. When I tell people this, they either focus on the…

not sure where to post anyone morbidly obese apple shaped?
I have a measurement problem. I have no butt. I mean my thighs are a little chubby but I have no butt. What I do have is a ginormous lower belly and love handles. When I measure my hips do I measure my belly as well? I'm really short waisted and tend to be hour glass shaped with my hips being slightly smaller than my bust…

I'm sorry, silly site question?
First off, let me apologize if this is in the wrong section and please feel free to move it if it is. I have a site question about adding recipes in. When I put the recipe in and save it, it remembers it so I can reuse it. I have a couple of friends on here who occasionally eat at my place but they can't search by the name…

choice of portion sizes
Why is the smallest portion size for cheddar cheese 100grams? This is also the smallest size for Kettle chips. I don't eat such large portions but there are no smaller options to choose from. This makes my calorie count very unrealistic. Am I missing something? I have only just registered so new here.

Right leg lost more weight than the other?
I know this may sound weird D: But I've recently started to lose weight, and what I've noticed is that my right leg has slightly lost a bit more weight than the other one. Is this normal?
