Rest Day
Today is the first day I've taken a rest day in about 4 weeks. I feel guilty about it. In the past one rest day would turn into not working out and eating bad for days. But I am still eating clean today. Still will probably do some push-ups in my cubicle. But taking a physical and mental break from the gym today. I plan to…

Calorie deficit and mental stress
Can we talk about this more? Doctors seem to really disregard it. I dieted for 4 months non stop for medical reasons and my mental health tanked. Sex drive flat as hell too. I mean, that can’t be good long term? I’m guessing it’s hormones. Don’t get me wrong I’m glad I did it but I really felt pressure every time he…

I finally lost some weight!
For a month I have been struggling and weight has been up and down with no losses since August 12th. This morning I lost .5. This is major for me as I am hypothyroid and 72 with limited mobility. I am able to exercise but spend some time doing sedentary activities. I only have 5 pounds to lose, which makes it harder.

Looking for friends to lose 100lbs and doing intermittent fasting :-)
Hi there! This is totally new for me! I lost 100lbs in 2015 just walking and counting calories. Life happened and it came back. I’m having problems getting on track so thought having specific time frames to eat AND track would help! I currently have fibromyalgia and sore everything. I know losing weight will help and that…

What's your why ?
Remembering why I want to lose weight or get healthy keeps me going. I have several "whys". But I'll share one. I'll spare you the "being able to play in the yard with my kids for hours" rhetoric..its too hot for that mess anyway. My favorite why is that im trying to look good! Case closed. I want to be sexy everywhere I…

My name is Diane. I live in Maine right along the harbor. I started out at 288 lbs and am now at 172 lbs. I've lost a WHOLE PERSON!! How? I did not cut out any junk food, though I slowly did bring it down to only a little each day, slowly. I LOVE TO EAT!! I'm clearly a foodie and always will be. I did though along with…

Seeking community for accountability and support
Hi there, I’m currently 195 and hoping to lose 20 lbs in a sustainable way. I’m very active and love exercising (running, spin, strength, etc), but struggle with binge eating disorder that makes it very difficult to manage what I’m eating. I’ve done OA to the “f*** it” diet and right now I’m doing therapy just to process…

Looking for "pals" over age 60, please
This is not my first rodeo. I lost 65 lbs. on MFP 12 years ago, but I have slowly and surely gained it all back, thanks to a bad heart, bad knees, and raging arthritis. Finding it hard to lose weight now because of health issues and age. Looking for friends who've "been there, done that, still doing it". :) Thank you.

Are you prepared for obstacles
What are the things that have sidetracked or stalled your progress before? How can we overcome them this time? I used to be a slave to the scale. If I woke up and the scale didn't read what I want..I would get back in bed and probably order unhealthy food. And then the next day I'd be so guilty that I didn't work out and…

Dads staying in shape
Any other dads out there trying to lose weight, stay in shape, etc? I've been working out since my early 20's. After I got married my wife and I would go to the gym a lot and work out together. Once we had kids it became a struggle to maintain a healthy weight and stay motivated to go to the gym. My kids are 10 and 12…

Make fitness/working out a non negotiable!
I hit a major milestone. I flew home last weekend and stayed for 5 days. Usually this means I workout less, eat terrible, and fall off the wagon. This time I worked out every single day. No matter what I worked out. I worked out at 4 different gyms for free using a combo of day passes. Don't let anything stop you from…

I'm new to this and still amazed in the foods I thought would be low calorie turn out to be quite high. We're off on a cruise soon and would welcome any advice as to best options for breakfast, lunch and dinner please. Obviously, don't eat is probably the only way not to gain weight for the ten days.

Hi, Everyone - I am a single female looking for support and accountability buddies. I'm taking Mounjaro and it has helped me go from the 220s to where I am at now -- between 181-185 on any given day but I've been stalled for several weeks now it seems. Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting has no value if eating before and ending the fast with high carbs and sugar intake. The best benefit is no carbs before, during and after intermittent fasting.
