Fat loss vs Scale weight!
Hi everyone How do you deal with losing the fat that does not reflect on the scales? How do you program your brain to think differently about the sales especially when everyone loses scale weight especially when you have over 20kg to lose surely the scales should move.

Will you help me be a daily reason I keep going???
This is very hard to admit but I am 5'4" and 510 at only 27. Had a rough childhood with bullying and food was my comfort. After years of fighting others and myself, I am trying to get better. My biggest issue is daily motivations. I know what my plans are for my long runs and such but it's the day to day that gets me, the…

Letter to myself for when I want to give up... (feel free to add yours)
So here we are, about 6 weeks into the latest quest for a healthy weight and lifestyle. At weigh-in this morning, you realized that you weigh what you were last year at this time and had a little pity party about "wasting a year". Well, you didn't make great choices, that's for sure. But one good choice was made this year…

Getting discouraged

When someone who you care about dies of obesity related complications
One of my friends died yesterday of cardiac arrest caused by obesity. He had existing health issues related to obesity, so while it is shocking, it was not entirely unexpected. I had worried about him for years prior to this. His life was shortened by 20 to 30 years. It just makes me really angry to see how obesity is…

Help needed
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice or help. I’ve signed up to this as another attempt to try and lose some weight. I’ve had an unhealthy/problematic relationship with food ever since I was a child. Up until my late twenties this was counteracted by the fact that I was a keen sportswoman and distance runner. If…

For the ladies - Embracing gray hair after years of dying--have you done it?!
Gray hair popped up when I was mid 20s and I never had any other than thought than "Let's get rid of that ASAP!" and so I began dying my dark brown hair! I am turning 45 this year and along with my continued focus on being my best and keeping fit and healthy and strong, I am truly considering STOPPING the hair dying every…

I’m glad I found this group. 29 days AF. Decided to continue after January. I challenged 3 of my friends. One didn’t make it the first day. The second one decided to try it for 5 days. I was proud of her for trying and succeeding for being 5 days dry. The third one didn’t want to. I am concerned that I won’t be invited as…

How do I control my "sweet tooth"
I have been using myfitnesspal for a while now. I lost 56 pounds but have gained 25 back which is frustrating. I love sweets and am having trouble avoiding them. I do not keep them in the house. I want to get back to the original 56 and then lose more. Thanks for any advice.
