Night Eating!!
I am running into trouble at night. I get hungry minutes after I take my nightly medications. While I have not yet gone over my calorie goal since starting, due to exercise, I am going over either fats or carbs every day. I crave things like peanut butter crackers at night. Any suggestions??

Breasts shrinking FIRST
I have been struggling for years to drop some pounds, but recently I have been having more success. And I am definitely slimming down. The problem is the first place it's really showing is my BREASTS! :| I was a DD before and now I am probably a D. Not tiny, but smaller in proportion to my body. And at DD they looked great…

Always lose it at 200
Looking for a little motivation today. I’ve been 200-220 for the past 5 years now. Every time I “diet” I can lose the first 20 pounds or so. It’s a little struggle but it can be done. But AS SOON as I hit 199-198 I just lose it and gain everything back. It’s a mental block. I also think I’m over restricting when I diet…

Exciting to see so many of you making good progress!!
I’m Diane. I just started & would love to get acquainted, particularly with the ladies. I’m 44, from the Philadelphia area & teach swim lesson. I have drop foot, & while it gives me some pain in the morning, I do not let it hold me back & have gotten 6000 steps per day to increase to 10,000 steps per day, eventually. I…

Rewards
It is always nice to be rewarded for a job well-done. When it comes to fitness and weight loss, having non-food rewards for reaching goals is a great way to show yourself some love. That being said, mine have always been nice rewards but not extravagant. So this evening I was chatting with my dear husband (DH) and…

MFP trying to make me but new phone
I am very ticked that MFP is updating the app so that my IPhone 6 cannot be used because it is too old for the ISO update. I can not afford a new phone and the app should not be updating in a way that does not allow older phones to be unusable.

Holiday Weekends & Food
Hey, hey! Labor Day is here, and I forget how much I make this about food! 🙇🏻♀️ My lack of loss always falls back on over eating, and binge. I did raise my goal, giving myself 600 more cal per day, so that my expectations are not crushed if I have frozen custard (obviously, I’m planning on it. I have also scheduled a ton…

Looking to buddy up with people for encouragement and support
Hi all - I'm Caroline, aged 34 and from the UK. I'm not new to MFP but this is a fairly new account after rejoining a couple of months ago as I wanted a fresh start. I've got a complicated history with diet (in the broad and restrictive sense) but I seem to have found a good balance and now the lbs are coming down, albeit…

What is your biggest motivation?
At first I thought it was about looking good. That sounds nice, however, it just is not enough. I had to find out the hard way that how I look would be a benefit of a fit lifestyle, not the cause. So being fit and in shape is my motivation. What about you?

Looking for Accountability
I've been back and forth for quite sometime. At my heaviest I was actually 418lbs, went all in and got down to 265lbs. After an injury (and a crap ton of excuses) I'm back up to 314 now, and I don't want to go through all that again. I'm tired of feeling this way, and I want to get back to where I know I can if I'll just…

Track track track! Use fitness trackers. Use MyFitnessPal
You can lose weight! Track everything. Sync a fitness tracker (garmin Venu 2, for me) no fad diets. Just be in a deficit. Don’t starve. The only thing I did to jump start was to intermittent fast from 8pm - 12pm. Once it was working I watched calories, watched my burn. Kept my numbers green on MyFitnessPal. It works!!

How do you get your Weight Loss moving again after it Stalled
I have been doing MFP and working out for 4 months and I'm happy to say I have lost 25 lbs. Its an average of about 1.5 lbs. a week. For the last two weeks I have NOT been able to drop any weight. I have not changed anything, still eating under 1200 calories a day and doing about an hour of cardio a day. Has this happened…

A Year of Dieting - Feeling Down, Waiting for Failure
August 29, 2021 marked my one year anniversary when I decided to, once again, attempt to make some positive lifestyle changes. I had quit drinking alcohol for three years and I hoped that would help me lose weight but unfortunately it wasn’t enough. I weighed in at around 275lbs and my wife had just ordered me a cheese…

Big goals, little support. (100 pounds to lose)
Hi there! I have a little less than 100 pounds to lose, and the people in my life, though understanding, are not very supportive. I am looking for others who are in need or want some company during weightloss and beyond. I know I'll be at this for a while and I would like to not feel alone! Age: 30 Gender: Female Height:…

I Can't Give Up
To anyone that will listen, I have been morbidly obese all of my life. I found out recently that my thyroid is slowly becoming under-active. My cholesterol and triglycerides are through the roof. I have been on this start-stop weight loss cycle so many times, but I truly can't give up. Losing 120 pounds can't be that hard…

😫 10 Days of Epic Fail 😫
OK, I keep telling myself it's only 10 days and completely reversible. Being back to location work completely undoes me and I could use some help getting my head back in the game. I don't need to hear 'keep logging and measuring' but rather advice on how to keep my eyes on the prize and maintain focus on my weight loss…

Being nice
I’m not especially thin-skinned. I do not like name calling. I guess I was expecting too much out of this group to think people were going to open and receptive to all ideas and experiences. For future reference: 1. People have feelings. 2. You don’t know everything. 3. You have no idea if “fad” ideas might (or might not)…

Failure Rant.
Why can’t I do this? Lose weight for good? I am that person who has tried everything! And everything HAS worked—for awhile. I feel so cliche that I eat for comfort. And the world is a freaking mess. It is for everyone, but everyone does not eat the whole kitchen over it! I am successful at literally everything else. I have…

Giving up alcohol for weight loss...
Is anyone else on here thinking of "going sober" for weightloss? Or anyone who has who can share the benefits? After a long day I really look forward to a glass of wine but I keep thinking about all those pointless calories and wondering if it's worth it!
