What's your excuse?
Today I hit a milestone in my weightloss journey! I am down 75 pounds! I have tons of excuses for why I was fat. 1. I just had a baby. My daughter is 6 months old. 2. I have kids. Yup, I have 5 of them. 3. I'm in school. Just graduated a month ago with a Master of Education. 4. I work full time. So, while in Grad school…

NSV
When I started a few weeks ago, 45 minutes on the elliptical earned me 829 calories. Because of the weight I've lost, I only earn 795 now. I know it's not a huge difference, or a big deal, but when i saw that 829, I thought, "wow - I'm huge. I'm so fat that 45 minutes of elliptical earns me over 800 calories? That's almost…

Under 200!
I started on MFP last year and didn't keep up with it. I'm doing a better job now and finally seeing results! I have been maintaining a 207-208 for almost 5 months without moving. I was actually under 200 on Saturday, but needed to make sure it was real before I felt confident enough to post it. I'm now more motivated then…

What will be your reward?
When you reach your goal what will be your reward? Maybe a takeaway, a new pair of jeans a trip to the hairdressers or perhaps a night out with your loved one? For me it has to be a pair of tight leggings. Nothing exciting I know but I've never been able to wear them without looking like Max Wall. They're all the fashion…

Just had a wonderful breakthrough moment
I've been doing MFP for about 2 weeks, and I'm amazed by how much my eating habits have already changed, and how hyper-aware I am of what I'm eating. It's 8 p.m. and I'm about to leave work and I just had a thought cross my mind that never would have 2 weeks ago: "Wow...I still get to eat 500 more calories tonight!…

200 days
Hi all My achieve menu tells me that I've logged in 200 days in a row  Nearly a year ago, on February 1, 2010, I resolved to lose all that weight I gained over the years. That's where this started, right after a trip to Hawaii. There's a pic of that in my info, with me standing with my husband. So far, I've lost 70…

85lbs to goal!!!
So I've been at this whole weightloss for 9 months now, I've faded in and out with my food diary but never lost track of the weight, its been a rocky rollercoaster and seems its a long uphill drag to finish off my goal. When I started I didn't realize just how big I was....a whopping 340 lbs possibly MORE....I didn't…

What a difference a year makes.
As I drove to work this morning, I reflected over 2010. It was one of the most difficult years of my life because my husband of 19 years decided in April he didn't want to be married any longer and moved out the week before our anniversary in October. As I thought over the months, I realized it was the end of January 2010…

this week i lost
This is the second week I've weighed myself in a consistent manner. Last Tuesday I weighed myself as soon as I woke up, after I peed. I did the same today, and this week I lost 3.6 pounds! 14 in all since January 1. I'm so excited and pleased to have this place! I have to use different belt holes, too! :) Onward and…

I had to put on 5kg to help with fertility treatment and never in my life have i been able to put on 5kg by myself! I know most people have used this app to lose weight but am i alone in my quest? I am now using it for weight…

Love this site
Hello, I've started week 4. I love this site. It helps me hold myself accountable. I enter everything I eat. I go to the gym 4 to 5 days a week. Some excercises are very hard for me for disability reasons. However I do the excercises I can do at 110% each time. I am so happy to have found this site. Sounds like everyone…

Non Scale Victory!!
I was so excited while getting ready for church this morning. My church pants were too big!!! Now they were never super-tight, but I had to suck it in to put them on a month ago. Now I had to keep pulling them up becaue they fell down so low on my hips! AND I can tell I'm getting stronger. Holding my 16 month old through…

Tiny little success...
When my husband came home on R&R a few weeks ago I went to pick him up at the airport. After seeing him, tearing up, rushing to him, hugging him, and crying. He squeezed me tighter and ran his hands down my side and goes "where did you go?? What did you do with my baby girl?? Your so tiny!" Made me feel good :) Now, on to…

Itsy Bitsy Little Success!
I have this Flintstones shirt I always wear especially at home. It was very uncomfortable and tight against my back and bust area but I wore it anyway (this was in the beginning of Jan.). I tried it on this week, and there is no tightness whatsoever, it almost feels big on me if it weren't for my bust XD Needless to say it…

6lbs down...
Only 4 more to go until I hit my top goal weight! My goal was only a modest 10-15lbs, but it's 10-15lbs of baby weight, which is SO HARD to lose!! Thanks to MFP, hot yoga, and some serious dietary changes, I've manged to do what I never thought could be done: losing those last 10lbs. I don't have any before or current…

120 pounds gone for good, the last 35 wont budge!
I'm pretty new here, but not to losing weight. I started out at 305 pounds, and i'm currently standing between 180-185. I've been stuck at this number since SEPTEMBER!!! I'm not sure what to do other then to just not give up. I've altered my workouts, and my diet. Still nothing! Recently I started running, so we'll see if…

1st success step
I tried on some jeans today and they were a size 12. I have been in a 14 - 16 over the past year or 2. I am kicking butt. I am thankful for Jeggings this year - I will get more wear out of those. I don't want to spend money on jeans if I won't get much use out of them. ( very excited bek !!! )

Non-Scale Victory: React in a Crisis
Long story short: I'm volunteering at my local VFW post last Friday night. We're serving steaks, and I'm helping at the grill on our outside patio. It's raining, and nearly dark, when there is a bad car crash right on front of our building. Since I'm first aid and CPR trained, I haul *kitten* out there to check for…
