Any supplements, etc. reccomended to help with intense muscle soreness (DOMS)?
I have been working out for about 4 years now and I mostly do strength exercises with some cardio thrown in and lots of stretching/mobility stuff but I have always been a person to easily get sore from working out and have the worst delayed onset muscle soreness ever! It's been a thing my whole life and I feel like it…

Running: ankle injury.
I somehow managed to get the first running injury ever, after 7 years. So I tried to run slower, made smaller, more steps. Somehow injured my heal or outer ankle at the first attempt. 3 weeks later my heal still hurts without any improvement. It's not very strong to start with though. Anyone know what kind of pain this is?…

5K for new or newer runners
I have completed the C25k program, but did it on a treadmill and never quite hit the 30 minutes of continuous running. I did a 5k with my Air Force daughter on June 16th..run/walk intervals. I finished in 45 minutes, but running outside sure is more difficult than running on a treadmill! I am doing another one in Dayton…

That bloated feeling
I'm 60+, and I think this is related to age. I often feel bloated even after modest meals, by which I mean my stomach feels uncomfortably full even after eating meals I've had for years. Anyone else get this? It seems like a new phenomenon for me and I'm wondering what causes it.

Everybody please send good luck right now
Two hikers are stranded on Baring Mountain, surrounded by wildfire. Snoho HRT sent a bird for them because there's no other way off the mountain, it couldn't fly due to turbulence from the fires. There are two more en route now to bring these hikers home. This has to work, there's no other way.

Dumbbell rows - “bulky” vs “bigger” back?
Hi. I’ve come to understand that strength training for women can’t make women “bulky” but can it make body parts bigger or tighter? Not sure how much this is semantics but I ask as the “test” T-shirt I’ve been using to measure progress is tighter - this is about 4-5 months of consistent training. A very simple routine of…

Night hiking in Paradise
A good friend and I went down to Rainier yesterday. We arrived at Paradise in a white out in mid afternoon; the forecast predicted fog in the morning burning off before lunch leaving bring sunshine the rest of the day. Instead, we got proverbial pea soup. We hiked a few miles up the unrelentingly steep moraines until the…

Deciding to STOP Looking at Weight until AFTER the Half Marathon
Got back on the Wagon in January after another diabetes scare. Lowered A1c from 14 to 5.2 by IF (20:4) and adding running and then weights. Dropped 40 lbs. Decided to run a Half Marathon in November and started using the Nike Run Club app to prepare. A few weeks into the 14 week plan, I've discovered that my IF is making…
