I was walking up the steps to the cardio room and started to feel a sharp pain in my knee. So I took it easy and just did the bike at a slower pace and felt no pain. Now I can't bring my heal within a foot of my butt without my knee hurting! (I usually can bring it all the way without being sore at all). Any suggestions?…

Week 6 Couch to 5k
So yesterday I did the first workout of week 6 on the couch to 5k plan. It was a little rough.... I was supposed to warm up then run 5 min, walk 3 min, run 8 min, walk3 min, and then run 5 min. The 8 minute run was too much for me so I split it up into 5 and 3 minute runs. I'm a little worried cause the next workout is…

Would scar tissue hurt after working out???
I found a mass in my abdomen, my doctor thinks it's scar tissue. It's on my lower right side, at the end of my scar from a c-section. 'Bout golf ball size. After running, it aches. Kinda throbbing aching. Anyone who has scar tissue.... is this common? (My c-section was August 2005.... 3.5 year ago.)

Here's were I am right now: I was training for almost 10 months and in the middle of August I fell into slump – I just had to stop and give myself a break. Heart rate monitors Please explain........
I have heard a lot talk about using their heart rate to calculate their actual calories burned. Can someone explain how I do that and what type of monitor to use.

using target heart rate zones
I got a heart rate monitor about a month ago to more acuratley access my workouts in terms of exertion and calories burned. My max target heart rate is 188 and at 80-90% it's 150-169 bpm. I've read that the 80-90% zone can only be sustained for very short periods of time-like 30-60 sec. However, I find that I can often be…

Did your blood pressure go up?
I've been in Nazi-Workout mode for the past 11 days, working toward my goal of 30 days. I worked out around 6:30 this morning, then at 10:30 at work they had a blood pressure & cholesterol screening offered for free so I did it. My blood pressure is 136/90, which is borderline hypertension. Since I started working out, it…
