Obsessed with low fat cottage cheese
So I recently started eating LF cottage cheese and find I really enjoy it. I love it with fresh fruit, and have been trying it with different fruits, I like it with pepper also. So far my favorite fruit with it is strawberries. Didn't like clementines with it or black berries thought they were too acidic for it. Bananas…

Subtracting carbs because you ate fiber??
While getting a handful of low salt almonds, I glance at the back of the bag and it says "5g total carbs - 3g fiber = 2g net carbs per serving". I VAGUELY remember coming across something like this before where it mentioned subtracting carbs because you ate fiber [Im thinking maybe WW says that?]. Anyway, does anyone know…

Differences in calorie labels for dried beans?
I have 2 bags of dried black beans. My Goya bag says that 38g dry has 70 calories. Then I look at my Great Value brand bag and that says that 35g dry has 100 calories.. Granted it's only a small difference, but I tend to eat a lot of beans. What would you do? Or which amount would you go by?

Eat more calories or stay the same?
I'm currently eating TDEE - 20%, which was working great with minimal exercise. I am now on day 5 of 30 Day Shred, and I am feeling much more hungry since starting the program. Goals: I really don't need to lose weight at all. A few more lbs. would be nice, but not necessary. I want to tone up what I've got and lose fat. I…

Food Cravings and Deficiencies
The last couple of weeks I’ve had this insatiable craving for mustard. Any type of mustard (brown, honey, spicy, etc.) and not just that I want it on a sandwich, straight out of the bottle with a spoon! I've never really liked mustard all that much either. I’ve always believed that when I have an unusual craving like this…

Spaghetti Squash
Does anyone in Scotland (preferably Glasgow) know where I can find this elusive vegetable?? I keep seeing loads of yummy looking recipes using it and can't seem to find it anywhere. I've done a Google search which suggested that Waitrose and/or the Whole Foods Market in Giffnock stock it but neither of them have it :(

Which do you think would be the BETTER choice
I have been using Agave Nectar in my coffee in the mornings as opposed to the Equal sweetner, because I read in Jackie Warners book that it is better for you because of the way it doesnt spike the blood sugar and all of that. The amount I use is about 60 calories. I have tried to use the other sweetner since I have begun…

TDEE, BMR and calorie intake - a query
Hello everyone, This contains a bit of maths, and I'm prepared to admit I may have got some of it wrong. If you can handle the ramblings of someone who tries to understand this, please read on! Or skip to the general queries at the end. I'm confused. Plugging my age, height and weight into TDEE calculators gives me a…

Dear Panera
Are you kidding me? You have created this new healthy menu and you hide it? :grumble: You even call it your "hidden menu". So the only way to see it is to have your nose buried in your phone while standing at the register or to go home and get on-line. Great that you are trying to introduce new healthy choices, but please…

Starvation mode is not a myth - WARNING!!!
Starvation mode is true people. There are people dropping every minute as they have been either fasting or waiting too long to eat after a workout. Is anyone else going over in sugars?
My sugar goal is 24g a day. I notice it's pretty impossible to not go over on sugars. I don't drink soda or juices laced with sugars however, If I eat just one dannon oikos greek yogurt thats 22g and it will pretty much put me over my sugar limits. I've been struggling to not go over on sugars or protein. Is it a huge deal?

Any Friendly Vegans?
Hii! <3 Thanks for clicking. Sooo, I've been a vegetarian for about a year now. I found it really easy, besides the peer pressure when I'm around other people (they look at me like I'm a brat! so I don't even go into why I dont like to eat meat) Anyways, I'd really love to be vegan, but I can't do it alone. I don't know…
