It's hubby's birthday tonight and its only fair to let him choose the restaurant for his birthday treat so he has chosen Indian food. What's the best option for me to eat? I have around 1000 calories left today and I can eat most things. Anything in particular I should avoid? Thanks x

Less than 1200 calories
So I'm sure that this has probably been asked before, but I couldn't see where. I'm averaging about 900- 1000 calories a day, with 200 left over on rest days, and up to 500 left over in excess if I've been to the gym (my average work out burns 350 calories.) I'm not hungry at all, probably because I'm eating a lot of…

Counting Calorie in an Avocado
I weigh out some of my foods on a scale before I log them to MyFitnessPal. When logging avacados should I weigh it out before or after I remove the skin and seed? I am using the item in the database called "Fresh - Avacado, Hass and Florida" which has an avocado at 240 calories per 150g.

Sugar High, Insulin and Weight Loss - Advice Please
I recently watched the video from an ad here on Myfitnesspal - I'm intrigued by the concept of balancing proper sugar intake to keep my body in "fat burning mode" but I don't really want to pay the $47 to find out how to do it. All Fruit Diet
No this isn't an advertisement for an all fruit diet, quite the opposite. I think this article simply provides a good cautionary tale about extreme diets, and against the common misperception that since any particular food is "healthy" more of it is good. I also think it provides a good counterbalance to the "Supersize Me"…

What do you eat if you do IF/ 5:2 diet?
Since I've been on MFP I've seen a lot of talk about IF & the 5:2 diet. Do you notice a difference particularly on those days if you…

Calorie adjustment? 1000 to 1400??
I have lost about 10lbs so far tracking my food. I am averaging about 1000 calories per day, but My Fitness Pal recommends 1400. To be honest, I am really not hungry, tired, light-headed, or drained eating 1000 per day, but I keep hearing that I need to be eating more. I have a moderate level of activity (desk job and work…

Are rice cakes bad for you?
I had a co-worker today tell me that rice cakes are actually really bad for you. Myself and the girls at the office eat plain rice cakes lightly toasted with peanut butter. Two of the girls at work are gluten-free, and I just jumped on the bandwagon because it's tasty and far fewer calories than bread. But now today I am…
