Girl Scout cookies
I ordered 5 boxes (4 Do-Si-Dos & 1 Thin Mint) and plan on eating them all in short order. Who ordered what? Dryer's Limited edition Girl Scout flavors are pretty damn good even the slow churned variety, speaking of Girl Scout cookies.

Vending machine
I need something from the vending machine today. My question is what is the lowest calorie option (I would like candy, not chips) the machine does not tell you before you buy! Maybe by the time I get an answer the craving will pass!

Produce and fitness discounts
I live in Michigan, so I only have access to the offers available locally, BUT it might be a good idea to check with your health insurance provider, or even your car insurance provider (AAA has a decent discount program) for local discounts for being a member. I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Their Healthy Blue Extras…

Research model for calorie calculator?? Help!
How can one calculation website give me BMRs, TDEEs and daily calorie recommendations that are more than a thousand calories apart from each other based on a research model? Which one should I actually use? According to the Katch-McArdle and Cunningham models, I should be eating about 2k per day (a 20% TDEE deficit).…

Breakfast
I have never eaten breakfast...just don't like eating that early....all I hear, though, is how beneficial breakfast is...So, when I started trying to eat healthier, work out, and logging my calories, I started having breakfast. Well, I am seeing almost no results. I am eating between 1200-1500 calories each day. I am…

Losing weight and getting hungier?
When I first started I followed my MFP about eating 1200 calories and any exercise calories back but the more weight I've lost the more calories I've started eating and the more often I've started eating. I now eat about 1500 calories and I usually have 5 or 6 meals a day, but i'm still losing weight steadily. If I don't…

Wanting to try Paleo diet but concerns about children
We recently cut back on our gluten because of articles I have read about the blood type diet and I feel soooo much better. Because of this I am tempted to try and do a Paleo diet. My fears are 1) I have two small children and do not know if it is a ood diet for them and 2) I am breastfeeding. I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO COOK…

Olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, engine oil...
I am a vegetarian who mainly cooks with olive oil (mostly for things like stir-frying veggies, making eggs, etc). But I hear about a lot of different forms of oil that have their own advantages and I was wondering: Are there any other oils out there that you think are better? And if you do, please state WHY they are better…

Caffeine?
I've managed to cut out diet soda from my diet, but I'm finding myself crashing on just water. I've been pouring Mio Energy into almost every glass of water I'm drinking. If doing so keeps me from drinking diet soda, is it worth it? What are your views on caffeine while on a diet, and how much do you consume daily?

No nutrition values adds
Is it only me, but it is getting really annoying when people add some food and don't add any nutrition values. Or only the calories values, since calories don't mean anything ...... Am i the only one that get very frustrated by those empty leads that make us lose our precious time?

Coffee Creamer Substitues
I am an avid coffee drinker, but I wanted to try to avoid the calories and sugar in the creamers. I have found Cinnamon Spice and French Vanilla Cool Whip. It is 25 calories and 1 gm sugar for 2 tablespoons. It does take a few days to get used to the decrease of the sweetness, but I am hooked now. Any other recommendations?

Eating healthy costs more
You know one of the things that everyone always says is 'eating healthy costs more' and then they point to the price of lean ground meat as compared to the more fatty stuff, and say look! Lean meat is almost a whole dollar higher per pound then the fattier stuff! I can't afford that! I propose to you that in fact, the two…

Sodium free/reduced foods (Canada)
Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone could share some sodium free or sodium reduced foods here. I am looking for a brand of tuna (in water) that has lower sodium, but please share your fav products or…

How to spot a "good" nutritionist, or trainer
I got some really great feedback about my post a whiles back, and figured I would address some of the common themes that were posed via PM. The first (and easiest) sort of thing that came up is how to find someone who can help you, in real life, face to face, and without alternate agenda....besides what is rightfully owed…

After watching "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" I'm juicing
I watched that documentary last night and I was so inspired. It's natural, no gimmicks, no pills, all real. Of course I will eat solid foods, however, I definitely want to incorporate juicing in between meals. I just love it, it's products you can buy in the grocery store, fruits and vegetables. Everything your body needs…
