Fell off the wagon yesterday
Well, actually, it was more like I jumped. I usually eat 1450 cal and most of the time I am under, but yesterday, tsk tsktsk. I ate and ate and ate. Of course I didn't want everyone to view my diary for the day but I was curious about how many calories and fat and all that were actually consumed, so I starting putting down…

Hello, I have been trying to find a fruit with similar calories/dietary fiber as apples. I just found apples to be quite expensive, basically spending a dollar for every single apple.

100% Whole Wheat vs. Whole Grain
I have seen both these labels on several foods. Does anyone know if each is as healthy as the other and what the difference is between the two? I know that "whole wheat" is supposed to be a more filling, slower burning carb and therefore better for you, but am unsure if "whole grain" functions the same or if it is just a…

Apple and Almond diet
I am now on an apple and almond diet. Speed of weight loss is important and these two items seem to pair together well for not that many calories. I also take a multivitamin and 2 glasses of whey protein a day. Does this sound acceptable? As far as I can tell I get everything I need but I might need an omega 3 supplement.

Salsa as a condiment
I made some great homemade salsa with veggies fresh from my friend's garden. Tortilla chips are the obvious accompaniment but that should be an infrequent treat. I do enjoy some in my scrambled eggs but I don't know else to use it. What do you do with.salsa?

Xylitol Gum
Xylitol Gum has many great benefits: 1. It only has 1.7 calories per piece 2. It tastes sweet. 3. You can buy it in Cinnamon flavor, which I have read that cinnamon suppresses the appetite 4. It has been shown to reduce cavities! 5. I have experienced it to reverse my cavities. 6. Makes a great reward for weigh-losing…

Snack ideas for airline travel
My husband has a very long travel day coming up soon. A 2 hour drive, then a 6 hour flight with a layover and then another 1.5 hour drive on a shuttle bus. Since they don't feed you much on planes these days and any excuse to hit the cinnamon bun place works for him, I want to be able to send him off with some relatively…

How to count calories for Pizza???
My favorite pizza is from very small mom/pop pizza place down the street. As a special treat I would love to be able to still eat a slice or two, however I would still like to stay within my calorie limits while doing it. My question is how do I do this when they do not have nutrition information available?

Anyone want to go low carb for a month?
So I've been stuck at the same weight now for about 2 months, and I've been averaging 1200 calories a day, some days 1300. I am never "hungry" ever. My weakness is those cookies at night time, any type of sweet starchy/chocolatey/cakey thing, even if I have cals left over for it. So if anyone would like to try to go low…

Too much protein?
Hi all, I'm a vegetarian but I've never liked sweet foods too much so I end up eating a lot of soy-based fake meat products. Due to this I am often high on my protein even when under the calorie allotment and everything else. Is this going to be a problem with my diet? I swim a lot and that usually makes up for it, but I'm…
